Steve Craig to speak at APC- AZ Premier Lion Caller
CouesWhitetail replied to Hyperwrx's topic in Predator Hunting and Trapping
You definitely should post these notices earlier rather than later, just include the date of the talk when you do the first announcement. You can also add the events to our calendar so notices are up even longer. The calendar generally lists events happening in the next few months at the bottom of the forum. -
I don't know for sure if this dog was lost but it was along the side of the highway north of globe about a half mile north of chrome butte. It was a white dog with large dark brown spots, long dark ears with a hunter orange collar on it. I stopped to see if I could help but the dog ran away. It was close to dark on Sunday.

I think I will be using my shuttle Ts. a few years ago I asked a bunch of prominent elk guides what they would recommend and this one was the top pick.
-
Good luck and it's great you are taking the kids out turkey hunting!
-
That is so cool!!! I need to go put some cams out by some roosts and see if I can get some strutting toms on cam.

cost is a total of $245 ($225 plus some habitat stamps). Not many tags left for the 1st season. FYI - I just ordered my tag and they told me that the dates on their website for the 2012 tags are wrong... correct dates for 2012 spring turkey are: 1st season - March 31 to April 15, 2012 2nd season - April 21 to May 6, 2012

That's an awesome bird there Eric! And I don't think you mentioned it, but as you told me, that bird weighed 24 lbs! I have never seen one black and one white spur, that's cool! Congratulations and thanks for sharing your story and pics!

wow, that's pretty clever. I think the answer to the illegal immigration issue is to make conditions in their own country better so they have no interest in coming here. And of course it's our demand for drugs that draws the drugs smugglers here. I doubt there has been a fence ever made that humans haven't figured a way to get under, over, or around it.

Outstanding!!! That's wonderful to see you out there with all those beautiful children! they are obviously having a great time! Congratulations on getting your bird too!

Nice pics!! I love spots with such variety of critters!

Thanks for the idea! That looks great. Does anyone do anything creative with feathers? Maybe painting on them, or like I saw one lady use some to coat a cleaned deer skull...that looked cool. I hate to throw the feathers away, they are so beautiful.

You generally have to buy them 6-12 months ahead of the season. So you can buy spring 2012 tags now. here is the link to their website with the hunting schedule: http://www.scatrwd.com/Hunting_Schedule.html The spring tags sell out fairly quickly, so if you are sure you want one, I would get it now. The fall tags don't sell out as fast, but I love that hunt too. I killed a turkey there last fall and had a wonderful time. They have moved the tags back later into April, for awhile they had them in March which seemed early to me. They also went back to having the tags good for all three units instead of a designated unit like it was this year. For me, that just means it's harder to choose where to hunt (too many options!)

Ok, that's great. As long as they are degreased and look good, we can use them! I know javelina get a little greasy sometimes. But they are one of my favorite skulls. Call me or email me your number and I will call you to arrange the donation. amanda@coueswhitetail.com

If you don't find any buyers for those beautiful skulls, you might consider donating them to the AZ Deer Association fundraising banquet. I am in charge of the silent auction again this year, and the lion and bear skull would be great donations. email me if you are interested, or call me. 928-200-0544
