Redington Pass Cleanup in Unit 33 - CANCELLED
CouesWhitetail replied to monstercoues's topic in Wildlife Projects
I just got word that this event has been CANCELLED. So just wanted to let you all know so you don't drive out there. Although I am sure if a few of you wanted to do it on your own, you can still do that. It's just they won't have an organized event with dumpsters and all. Sorry for the late notice, but I just got a call about it. -
Awesome!! I am very happy for you!! You will have to post pics of the wedding

Is your brother Trent? That packs looks like the one he took on our backpack hunt! He definitely needed one that fit him better. This is an excellent pack, for the right size guy.

Thanks for going out to help on this project Eric! That's cool. I haven't seen the pipe design before...usually they use big round undergound tanks. Did they say anything about the benefits of the pipe design?

I think hunters should hear more stories like this one. Making ethical choices on which shot to take and which to pass is a BIG part of hunting. Thank you for showing some restraint. I applaud you and your wife.

Guess the Lion Weight Contest
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Contests and Giveaways!
Ok, well this lion tricked alot of us! This lion is a female and the dressed weight was 74 lbs. Yes, I know she looks a lot larger to me too, but there you have it. That's one of the reasons we picked it for a contest, it's a challenging one. The first guess the lion contest was too easy for you So the top 5 closest guesses were: Lobo 85 COOSEFAN 87 WalkingW 91 1/2 dzell 92 coues..crazy 92 So if those people could email me (amanda@coueswhitetail.com), you can get either a free CW.com tshirt or a free hunting DVD of your choice. email me your name, mailing address and what you want for a prize. here is the tshirt page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/tshirts.htm and here is the dvd page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/hunting_videos.htm Thanks to Randy for sharing the lion with us and thanks to all who played! -
+1 Thanks for the great info.

I am so sorry to have to report this, but Garrett Webb (son of Tray Webb aka FlyingW) was killed in a car accident this week. You all may remember that we had prayed for Garrett when he had to undergo surgery to remove a vertebrae due to cancer. Well, the surgery was a success and he became cancer free, but he was going for one of his last treatments for the cancer when he was hit head-on in an accident. you can read the post his father made about his sugery back in July. http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...mp;#entry210169 Please pray for the Webb family and the soul of Garrett. The family will need incredible strength to endure this. Garrett turned 19 the 19th of October. He graduated the 20th of May and was diagnosed with cancer the 10th of June. For any one who would like to attend his service, there will be a veiwing Friday December 10th from 6:00-8:00 at Burnahm's Mortuary in Eagar and the service will be Saturday the 11th at 10:00 am at the First Southern Baptist Church in Springerville. From FlyingW: "Im writing you as I am at a loss for words but would like to keep my fellow cwt members updated. I am deeply saddened to inform you that my son Garrett was tragically killed on his way to treatment in the valley Monday morning ,as a woman crossed the center line and hit him head on. This is especially hard for my family after what he had endured over the past six months. He recently had a vertebrae removed the first of October that the cancer had affected and was required to wear a half body brace for several weeks. He was very upset that he was going to miss our 27 Whitetail hunt . Scott Adams had offered to help out with the hunt and even offered us a place to stay during the hunt. Garrett was stoked to say the least. We did manage to go out one day (against doctors orders) and hunt together . I could tell Garrett was in extreme pain but he made me promise not to take him home and he stuck it out the entire day. Garrett was scheduled to have his last Radiation treatment this week and his last Chemo treatment next week.Recent test and scans revealed no signs of cancer and he told me last week how excited he was to have overcome cancer. Apparently this was a sign that his work on this earth was completed and our Lord had bigger plans for him in heaven.Through it all Garrett never complained and didnt know the meaning of the word quit. He instilled a christ-like spirit of love and compassion in us all and our family is closer today because of him." Garrett Webb with his father and 2009 deer

CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Sticker Sightings!
I can do pink.....I have thought about doing them for my car....just make sure she really wants one and then let me know.... -
One of our sponsors makes great topo maps that include hunt unit boundaries and all kinds of info. however, I think they only have unit 6A available currently. But they are working on getting the other units done. You might call and see if they will have one of your units done soon. http://www.flatlinemaps.com/
