The camera can be set to take photos or video. So ir u are getting video, then it is set for that and will only take video until you change the setting to take photos. Look through the menu options and you will see a screen where you can choose either video or camera

Saw your truck in the fry's plaza by the cost cutters. The sticker is on the trucks back window, but the cap on the bed of the truck doesn't let it show through in my photo.
