Prayers needs "Family lost a son"
CouesWhitetail replied to Santana Outdoors's topic in Prayer Requests
Perhaps you Payson guys that knew him would like to post a memorial tribute to him. Maybe gather up some pics and stories to share about him and start a thread in the Memorial section so that his family can see how much their son was loved. They might appreciate it. -
Awesome and it was GREAT meeting you and your sister and dad last night! Congratulations on your tags and good luck on your hunt.

It was nice to see you Gary and also nice that The Arizona Hunter had a table of folks there. OE4A appreciates the support! -
I love using National Geographics TOPO! program. You can buy all of AZ for like $100 and it gives you 5 scales of maps including the 1:24000 topo maps. You can map out waypoints and upload and download to your GPS. And you can print out maps centered anywhere so that you don't have to buy a bunch of topos. Then I use USFS maps to look at land ownership if I need to.

Barking frogs are a very unusual frog that most people never get to hear or see. They normally live in rock crevices and only come out and call for a brief time during the monsoons. I was doing some owl surveys down at Coronado National Memorial down south of Sierra Vista and the timing was just right that I got to hear this interesting frog and see some. here is a short video I made about the frogs...just some info about the frogs and you can hear the call. I guess they are named barking frogs because in TX and NM the call sounds like a series of dog barks, but here in AZ it sounds more like a croak of a raven....it was still very fun to hear! http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/barking_frog.wmv This is a great time of year to get out and enjoy the amazing variety of frogs, snakes, and toads that come out with the rains.... have you seen an interesting frog or toad lately? Post some pics if you got 'em.

I had a great time, but man it was busy! I barely got to sit down the whole night...too many people to talk to! Thanks to everyone who came and supported the event. It was a great fundraiser and I just flat out can't believe how good that food is!! If you need any pigs for roasting, McReynolds Farms out of PHX is a great choice. And here are some pics of some of the CW.comer's that were there: The food was FABULOUS!! Roasted pig with outstanding BBQ sauce... Ilene won some swaros!! Yeah! Danny and Kori Howard are back from Africa after like 3 years of being gone!! It was great to see them again! Eddy and some of the kids: -

Scouting Camera Recommendations

I love the Coverts!! They have excellent picture and video quality, outstanding battery life, and are lightweight. They just came out with the new HR (high-resolution) version. It doesn't require a remote and can take pics up to 8MP and take a 8GB card. If you want to buy one from CouesWhitetail.com, you can order it on this page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm fyi - you can see sample photos and video on the page linked above. Just a reminder, that as with everything I sell, if you don't like it for some reason you can return it for a refund. Customer service is a high priority here and I want to make sure everyone enjoys the products they buy from me. -
Nice work Doug and everyone else involved. It sure was nice not having to wait as long as usual. Thank you!!

Hey All, I am excited because I just got my 2nd season spring tag in the mail! Usually I am too late getting the tags and they sell out the 2nd season too fast. This year I got lucky! Anyone else planning to hunt turkeys this Spring on San Carlos? Which season and unit did you get?
