beautiful spot! -
Congratulations on your fish! Did you keep it and eat it? How is pike? I have never eaten one.

Tickets are still available through Friday, so if anyone else wants to go, let me know. for more info on the banquet... http://www.azdeer.org

Ok, just a reminder to those attending, that the banquet is this Saturday night! There will be some great auction items and of course good company with all the CW.com'ers. We have just over two tables of people. Those who I haven't sent tickets to yet, can just pick them up under their name at Will Call. If you want to attend the deer daze seminar, come out early (the seminar is from 1- 4 pm at the same resort as the banquet). If you need tickets to that, ask for me when you get there as I don't think Will Call is going to be set up for the afternoon seminar. But I will have tickets with me. There have been some changes to the attendees, so here is who I have currently...we are actually one too many on the 2nd table, but I bet we can find some seats nearby. I probably won't be using my seat much anyway since I have to work. So I can give up my seat and just eat when the time comes. table 1 1. Hector 2. Orlin 3. Mark N. 4. Kathy N. 5. Cookie N. 6. Amanda 7. Eric K. 8. Jerry Douthit 9. Jerry D's GF 10. Bill Cullins Table 2 1. TAM 2. TAM's wife 3. Josh Epperson 4. Josh's wife 5. Rut 6. Cramerhunts 7. Cramerhunts wife 8. Gary Hanson 9. Steve King 10. Allen Taylor 11. Kerri Taylor

Thanks for all the kind comments guys! The team I skated for didn't get into the final game, but the team I coached did (they were in different divisions). We almost won....but lost 3-2. Still not bad at all considering that team hasn't had any ice time to practice on in a year! They really did play well! And I had a blast being on the ice again. I think I am going to have to get back into it again. -
Hey, If anyone has a good evaporative cooler for a house (not like the small window mount one posted recently), let me know. Or if your business is selling these, call me. Amanda 928-200-0544

thanks for the cameras but the one dosent work and the other uses a battery faster than a cheetah chasin a rabbit That's a bummer to hear. I used rechargeable batteries in them and they seemed to last a couple weeks. but I found the trigger speed was inconsistent on them. Seemed like they missed some stuff and got others. Guess you will need to save up to get some better cams!

Don't give my husband any ideas....I am sure he would love to try that one! -
Call Lance Crowther of Timberland Outfitters (one of our sponsors). he and his guides have been killing several buffalo up there this year and in previous years. I believe he is up there now or will be again next week. Give him a call and see what he can do for you. http://www.tlohunting.com/

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be carefull. Bear hunting or otherwise.
CouesWhitetail replied to 308Nut's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Wow, that's a tragedy. Sorry about the loss of your friends and thanks for the safety reminder. If you find out more details, let us know. -
looks like some quail in the first two pics...bummer about the wind causing all those false pics, but that's the case with most cameras.

Thanks for the feedback! And just so everyone knows, all the tripods, tripod heads and binocular adapters that I sell on CouesWhitetail.com come with Jim's exceptional service since I get them from him. So if you buy a tripod from CW.com and a part of it breaks, Jim will fix it. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/tr...ripod_heads.htm

Want to help me win a video competition?
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in The Campfire
Glad you like the new avatar Bill! For those that don't know, Bill did the artwork for that logo. And if you have not gone and watched and voted for the owl video yet, there still is time! Amanda -
Jim White will also be there at the grand opening on June 5 to answer questions about all his products. This is a great chance to talk with him and try a bunch of great optics and related gear. Bull Basin will be carrying great optics made by Swarovski, Leica, Vortex and Nikon.

if ya see a bear, don't call it in
CouesWhitetail replied to .270's topic in Black Bear or Grizzly Bear hunts
Exactly...I think it's a very difficult position for AGFD which is why I don't call the bears in. I would if I thought it was really a danger to someone and acting strangely, but usually the bear will just leave on it's own. -
+1 So very sad and senseless....

Ever wonder how AGFD conducts surveys for deer?
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Thank you Jim for taking the time to answer questions. For some reason, I am just seeing your responses now although you posted a month ago! I appreciate you providing all the extra information and I think both AGFD and hunters benefit from you coming here to explain why AGFD does what it does. -
Double Buck, are you going to be competing in the show too? It would be nice to meet you.
-
You all might remember that during the last application turn-in day Outdoor Experience 4 All and AGFD teamed up with the Red Cross to do a blood drive. There is great need for blood in AZ and some of the kids that are helped by Outdoor Experience 4 All have received many life-saving transfusions. So please, if you can donate, please do!! Please pre-register so they can make appointments and keep things moving well. see attached flyer for more information. Thank you! OE4A_June_Blood_Drive_poster.pdf

Sounds like a great idea to me. I was out of town for a couple days and didn't see your posts until now. There may be some legal issues with using it to raise money for the site (az gambling law issue maybe?), but I can check into that. Even if we can't use it to raise money for the site, I think it's a great idea for a fun get together and maybe we can use it to raise money for a nonprofit like Outdoor Experience 4 All or the AZ Deer Association. Thanks for the suggestion. Of course, one of the rules would have to be you can't win unless you have a CouesWhitetail.com sticker on your boat before you start fishing!! LOL!

I just realized that "www.coueswhitetail.com"
CouesWhitetail replied to Browning'sCustomMeat's topic in The Campfire
LOL!! good one. Use your dropdown menu in the address bar and it should be in there so you don't have to type it. Or add it to favorites, or just type coues in google and you can click on the link in the results, or just set it to be your homepage and save all the trouble .
