Went to setup the ADA/coueswhitetail booth yesterday. The ADA has lots of great deer to display. Here are a couple cell phone pics from the booth. We are off in the one of the corners (SE corner I think). Some pics:

Bleaching Skulls?
CouesWhitetail replied to azcouesandelk's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
the 3% peroxide you can get at any drug store or dollar store is the easiest and very effective. Much safer than using bleach. Soaking the skull overnight in the peroxide is usually plent to make it very white, but as has been said you can leave it longer. It will also whiten up a little more as it dries in the sun. Amanda -

Hey All, I had a board meeting for the AZ Deer Association last night at Bass Pro and the first thing I noticed in the parking lot was a truck with a CouesWhitetail.com sticker! Cool!! I noticed the Mullins sticker too, so figured maybe it was Coosefan, but he said no. So I thought maybe Christian got a new truck or something and called him to ask him. He said it was Dallas' truck and that they were inside chatting. So i went up and joined them and shortly thereafter a few more CW.com'ers drifted in and we had a little mini party going on. I had time to kill before the meeting, so this was a great way to spend it! Thanks guys for saying hello and for supporting the site with your stickers! Pics (sorry they are so crummy, but they were taken with my cell phone): Amanda

Did those pigs destroy any plants or just root around a little? We have javelina in our neighborhood fairly often. We even had a bear in our back yard! Amanda

Keith couldn't post for some reason, so he asked me to put up this update on his brother. Please pray for his recovery. "He is still stable, but not breathing fully on his own, his vitals are good, and he has movement to all extremities. He is still not waking up, but he does respond to some requests. His doctors seem to think he is going to be ok, but a lot of recovery time for him. I want to thank everyone and I will keep you guys updated. His name is Jason. " Thank You Keith

Jim White asked me to post a question to you all. He wants to know what you think about him creating a tripod adapter for the leica CRF 900 and 1200 laser range finders. Apparently because the range finders are so small and the distances long, there is some interest in being able to mount the range finder on a tripod to take more accurate readings. What do you guys think?

Happy Bday Scottyboy! Sorry you missed the Tucson party, maybe next time.... Nice bday gift from your wife and mother!! that's awesome! Amanda

Awesome, thanks for sharing about the program and your particular water hole. That's great! Wouldn't it be nice if more sportsmen/women worked on habitat improvement projects? if for some reason you don't want to join a group to do it, then this is a very nice alternative! Amanda

Awesome! Tell us more about your hunt.....

Yes, indeed I did. I had to give an owl presentation to an Audubon society group in green valley that morning, so he went to that and then we went out to lunch before going to the CW.com party. Amanda

Great photo! Funny how the world turns...I never would have thought I would meet that guide in that photo when you posted it awhile back. And yet there he was staying at our hotel and had a booth not far from us in SLC. Thanks for posting the pic again. Amanda

While at the hunting expo in Salt Lake City last week I had an outfitter from South Africa (Louis Stoffberg of Zingeli Safaris) come up and tell me how much he loves the DLC Covert 2 Trail cameras. And he shared some samples of photos he has gotten of leopards. For more info on the trail cameras, visit: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm here are a few: and he said these were honey badgers:
