Hunt the 28 points (aprox) Coues Deer in Sonora
CouesWhitetail replied to mexafari's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Mexico
Actually the v is left out on purpose on his email. I believe this is the buck he is referring to that was taken last year on the ranch he is offering the tag for. Mexafari is an official sponsor of CouesWhitetail.com and I have hunted with Javier many times. Almost shot a monster with him a few weeks ago. But I haven't hunted this other ranch he is talking about. Would like to though! -
Let's fill a second table!! Any more takers? Amanda

WOW!!! It's just as amazing as you can imagine. I am just tickled-to-death that I got to actually hold this buck this evening!! Thanks to Harold Declay for taking the time to stop by and let me see it! here is a pic of him holding it: oh and I just had to get some pics of me holding it!! Still can't believe it, WOW, what an amazing deer! Oh, and here are some pics to show you some scale. The "other" buck in the pics is my 110 buck from Mexico from a few years ago. Oh my, this buck makes mine look like a DINK! Thanks again to Harold for letting me check out the buck!! I just can't believe how massive it is. It's got 6 inch bases and way out on the main beams it's still like 4 1/2 inches!! I really love massive bucks like that. He even has a broken off tine that grew on the inside of the right beam. Not sure if you can see it in the pics. WOO-HOO!!!! Enjoy the pics! Amanda

Wow, that's a ton of elk crossing in that little area. Good thing the driver wasn't on that ice patch when the elk started crossing! Amanda

Clay said it was probably CJ, but figured I would post anyway. Is it you? Sorry, the sun made it hard to get the sticker to show well.
-
Well, I thought it sure looked good.... I think I will get the Globe City Council to pass a rule that all Jeeps in Globe must have a CouesWhitetail.com sticker on them!! Seems strange when I see one that doesn't have one! Amanda
-
Awesome story!! Congratulations! And yes, be very careful with those havalon knives!!!! They are crazy sharp! They do make some with blunt tips too so you are less likely to poke a hole in the hide. here is the link to the knive page if you want to see the blunt tipped blades: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/havalon_knives.htm

Southeastern Arizona Game info on Twitter
CouesWhitetail replied to gamespec's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
+1 Not a big fan of twitter......but hey, maybe this will make me sign up. Amanda -
Already a deer named Goliath. A mule deer, but still technically a deer LOL!!

I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized some of us have inappropriate stickers on our jeeps....wouldn't be a pretty picture! Amanda I am sure Clay could take off the other sitcker... !!!! Considering he is a good friend of mine, you would think he would be up for that, but he is oddly resistent to it. In fact I think he likes twisting that knife deeper into my heart..... Amanda What stickers are you guys talking about? I only have a bowtech, coueswhitetail.com, and a game & fish sticker. You guys sure are weird.

Got lots of bucks on my cams. Two are very nice (well, it's hard to call anything nice now that we have see the Declay buck, but anyway.... ) What do you think? Buck 1: Buck 2 And some smaller bucks:

Get ready Gambels hunters!!!!!
CouesWhitetail replied to stanley's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Yes, I believe you are exactly correct Doug. If I remember right there is some research demonstrating this. I was just thinking about this the other day actually and wondering if 5 years ago we had good rainfall for fetus development and it's partly why we have a pulse of big bucks this year. I know we had some good rainfall for antler development this past season, but I think we may also have had a pulse of strong fetus development 5-6 years ago. Amanda -

Rained hard here in Globe the other day. Lots of thunder and lightning! Nice storm. I too have been seeing greenup in the places around here. Seems like tiny filaree starting to grow. Amanda
