Lions eat loads of javelina. Just saw some lion scat the other day full of javelina hair. Found some once with a baby javelina hoof in it too. Thanks for the pics! Amanda

A few digiscope pics
CouesWhitetail replied to jeffcros's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Neat pics! Do you have photoshop elements program? If not, you might want to get it. You can use it to sharpen up digiscoped pics. Those would sharpen nicely I think. Amanda -
Wow, awesome collection! Amanda

For those wondering, the event is Jan 30 at the same place in Scottsdale. Amanda

I would like to see a CW.com table there again. It's possible I won't be there due to a hunt in Mexico, but it's not for sure yet. So I may or may not be there, but still I will be glad to organize a CW.com table. So if you are wanting to go, please speak up. If we get 10, I will go ahead and buy a table and send you all the tix. Amanda

I have stalked pigs a lot of times and it's not particularly exciting to me, but it was a lot of fun. I couldn't believe how we kept having pigs coming into the same spot. Everytime we thought we needed to leave we would spot more pigs coming back. At first we thought it was the same javelina over and over, but now I think it was just more of the herd coming in. A few days later some other hunters went in there and found lots more javelina in that herd than we saw at any one time. Amanda

Is it just me or does Lance make our jaws drop everytime he makes a post??? Amanda

I saw some sheep in a new area the other day but didn't have a cam with me. I agree it's fun to bump into them unexpectedly! Amanda

Cool! thanks for the pics! Western Skulls seems to be a good company. They have donated to the AZ Deer Association banquets in the past and do excellent work. Amanda

Good idea for a thread! Let's hope people follow your lead... It would be fun to see all the big bucks posted in one thread. Amanda

Congrats Nathan!! Amanda -
Just got a set of Cabela's Bubba GXT991VP1 made by Midland. So far they seem real good. Just realized they don't have a privacy code on them though. But they sound real clear and rechargeable battery pack seems to last a long time. Even left the radio on for a day or two accidentally in my pack and it still was at full battery strength on the indicator. Amanda

Wow, that's an awesome day for sure!! Thanks for sharing your adventures! Amanda

thx for the post Clay! Amanda

Congratulations on making a quick kill. Just an fyi - I wouldn't call a herd of a 11 to be a large herd. I think 8-10 is avg in AZ. I think when you get into herds of 20-25, that's a good sized herd!! Hopefully your herd will continue to grow! Amanda

I had one this year at 30 yards that was broadside and I shot and then watched as my arrow sailed cleanly parallel along his side after he managed to turn and run straight away. Took me awhile to realize what happened. I don't shoot as fast as you, but still I was amazed how fast they can move when they hear the shot! Amanda

Congrats!! I really like you calling pigs solar powered rotor rooters!! Very apt! Amanda
