Who would want to eat a javi?
CouesWhitetail replied to joeeden's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I will take it, but I am in Globe not Flag...so likely not a good option for you. Amanda -
My husband just purchased a used jeep for cheap and he kept pushing me to get a sticker on it. He said his car was naked without it and he refused to leave for his trip to the valley without a sticker, so I finally got my butt in gear and put a sticker on. How's it look?

Maybe he would take a payment plan and you might afford it that way? Amanda

Taxidermist that has coues replica skulls?
CouesWhitetail replied to Flash's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
There are some taxidermy shops that carry different sized replica skulls. Here is one that I think is closest to the size of a Coues skull. http://www.vandykestaxidermy.com/product/3...tail-deer-skull You could buy one and have just about any taxidermist mount your antlers to it. I am planning to do that with some of my antlers. Amanda -
Well, I wouldn't say we burn through them, but we sure love them. We are a three jeep family now. We didn't need this new one, but it was too good a deal to pass up - $1,000 for a perfectly functioning 4wd vehicle (with AC, his old jeep doesn't have AC since we bought it in Maine). Several of his coworkers have owned it the last many years so he knows its history. He is still driving the jeep we bought new about 20 years ago, it has over 300,000 miles on it and still runs great. None of our jeeps has less than 170,000 miles on it, but of course the important thing is that they all now have CouesWhitetail.com stickers on them!! Amanda

Yeah, you have to have an in with the site owner to get black No, actually you can get those stickers in most any color. White is the most requested and best for most uses, but for like 5th wheels or trailers a colored sticker can be best. I have some dark blue, red, black in addition to the white. And I just got a request for hunter orange, but not sure yet if I can get it. You can see some examples of some nonblack stickers on the sticker page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/stickers.htm Amanda

Wives = Smart women, whom smart men marry to keep them on the right road!! Actually it is because we love our men and want them around for a long time. Tom, Glad to hear that you are better. Did you see that I finally got my Javelina? Take care, Kathi +1

I wondered how high that flood water got on your cam!! Amanda

Nice pics! Looks smaller than an adult, but it's hard to tell scale in the photos. Did you think it was a young one, perhaps born this past summer? Amanda

I'm headed to Yuma and back. Need a transport?
CouesWhitetail replied to bowhuntaz1's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
That's a nice offer and a great way to use the forum. Amanda -
Thanks for the reassurance, I wasn't really worried about it until I was talking to my uncle and he was telling me how bad the weather was. Let us know how your cam performs! And just for some more added reassurance, they have a 1 year warranty against any defects so if you have a problem you can return it for a new cam. Amanda

They hold up great in bad weather (if they didn't, I wouldn't sell them). I have been using them for quite awhile now and they do fine in wet weather. They have a rubber gasket to seal out moisture. I have two out right now and they will hold up fine if they aren't blown off the tree!! Right now it sounds like my roof is going to be blown off my house! Amanda

Disposable Game Bags - Where to get in Tucson?
CouesWhitetail replied to scoutm's topic in The Campfire
I forgot about those. Would you have any trouble have them shipped for Wednesday delivery? We leave Thursdayt to setup camp. Should be able to go out today and you would have them by Tues or Wed. It wouldn't be guarranteed, but I find USPS is usually overnight or within 2 days if it's in AZ. Amanda -

I propose a new scoring system!
CouesWhitetail replied to SilentButDeadly's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
hmmmm......interesting...... Yes it is. Boy, wonder how many guided top trophies are really inelligable and should be thrown out??? Hard to say how many, but I would say that guides generally know the eligibility requirements and try to make sure clients are following them. It's regular hunters that are more likely to be unaware of this rule. Amanda -
Clay sent in a yummy backstrap recipe which I posted in the recipe section the other day. Well, my husband and I tried it out last night and it was wonderful!!! We might even have it again tonight Thanks again Clay! And for those wanting to see the recipe, it's the last one posted on this page: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/recipes.htm Don't forget to send in your favorite recipes so we can share them. Amanda

Hey All, Thought you might enjoy this pic. Awhile back Jim Mullins sent me several hides, skulls and antlers so I could use them in the educational presentations that I do about AZ wildlife. Jim was amazingly generous in what he gave me! In addition to some great pelts and skulls, he sent me a matching set of large elk sheds and I was keeping them put away, but I kept thinking they were too nice not to have out for people to see. So my neighbor came up with a good way to hang it over my fireplace. I LOVE it!! Thanks Jim!! Now that the weather has turned cold I will get to have a fire most every night!! Amanda

there is a lot of truth in that statement about quail hunters making deer less visible. I have glassed the same area just before and then during quail season. Before I would see tons of deer and after you would swear the deer were nonexistent sometimes when an area is hunted hard for quail. The deer are there, just hiding more due to the extra disturbance in the area. Amanda
