    WTB PHOTOSHOP

In case you weren't aware of it already, Photoshop puts out a sort of "photoshop lite" version called Photoshop Elements. It's a lot cheaper and may do everything that your wife needs it for. Have her check out the photoshop website to see if it has what she needs. Elements is what I use and it can do alot. Amanda

No buck, but a lion instead

Go check out Clay Goldman's work. He is a sponsor here and does some excellent work on all big game animals. Not only would you get a great mount, but you would be supporting someone who supports this site! http://www.mogollontaxidermy.com/ Amanda

    Angie gets it done!!!

WoW!!! That's just awesome! Thanks for the write-up and pics! Angie you rock!! Way to go girl! I gotta say it's been great watching you become such a successful hunter! Definitely one of my favorite stories yet this year! Nice job helping her Tracy! And nice shirts, thanks for those pics! And for those that haven't been following Angie's hunting adventures, here is the link to the post about her first big game animal taken last Feb: http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...showtopic=12616 Amanda

    Bears and birds!

Nope, but it worked great, didn't it? Actually, when I walked up to the cam, I thought, dang it, it's pointing to the ground! The cam was on another root behind that one and it slipped downward so that it was pointed to the ground more (and therefore more toward that branch). So the cam got some neat pics that I hadn't planned because of that root and the slip up. here are some pics of the set so you have an idea of what I am talking about. Amanda

    My son

Wow, that's a powerful post Kent. I think everyone here can certainly understand and sympathize with your excruciating pain and split personalities. I can't imagine how hard it is to continue on after the loss of a child. Just try and remember that your daughter and wife still need you, perhaps more than ever. Pour everything you have into your family. You know your son would not want to be the cause of any drifting apart within your family. It must be impossible to see any light now, but hopefully you will heal with time. Healing doesn't mean you love your son any less, it's just what you have to do for yourself and the rest of your family. Amanda

here you go: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/video_clips/MooseHunt.wmv Is it just me or does it look to everyone else that there is no way he had a fatal shot there? Maybe the shooter has a better angle than it looks? Amanda

    What's Up With The Signs

Sounds like perhaps Steven is talking about access through private property to public land whereas Sunsetfarms is talking about people actually getting permission to hunt on his own property. I gotta say that Sunsetfarms point of view seems utterly reasonable to me Steven. Amanda

    trail camera

Last I heard the company says they are supposed to get a big shipment of cams in on the 11th. If you want to place an order, feel free and I will put it in line to go out when the cams come out. Or just wait and I will make a post in the forum and on the trail cam sales page to let people know they are available again. Amanda

    trail camera

If you can afford it, then yes, they are worth it. They are just tons of fun and a great excuse to get out in the woods more often. They can give you a lot of info about the animals that are in the area you want to hunt, but I also really enjoy the pics I get of non-target animals too (birds, bobcats, spotted skunks, ringtail cats, javelina, etc). I check cams about every two weeks and generally I am putting cams out just for fun and not in areas that I plan to hunt. I put them in spots that make good dog walks so I can take the dogs out with me. Since I have to walk the dogs anyway, it might as well be on the way to check a trail cam. Battery life with the Coverts is really good. You can get a couple months out of them and perhaps more with lithium batteries. Depends on if you are doing pics or video though. Amanda
