Thanks to everyone who takes the time to pick up trash on our public lands. We do it all the time too. -
I hadn't thought about driving with the window down! We didn't have A/C in our jeep for probably the first 10 years we lived in AZ.

My husband and I went down to Whitewater Draw to see the thousands and thousands of Sandhill Cranes that winter there. It was a great experience! We got there after dark and could hear thousands of cranes calling out in the water. You can camp there at whitewater draw for free, or you can do like we did and go stay at the historic Gadsden hotel in Douglas. I didn't take many photos of the cranes, but a friend of mine took some excellent photos and here is a link to her photogallery http://www.pegcoleman.com/Nature/Sandhill-Cranes-of-White-Water/ The cranes usually stay until mid-march, so if you want to experience them, you should go now! here is a link to a video of the cranes calling at night that I posted on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10204624875075516&pnref=story The cranes sleep out in the water at night, and then lift off in the predawn to go forage in surrounding fields. Then they seem to come back around 10 am and if you can be there then you can see the sky full of waves of cranes. It's very impressive! Well worth the drive. If you use your binos to scan the sky in the distance you can see black waves that are hundreds of birds coming back to the wetland. They look like giant swarms of bees when they are far away. here is info on the AGFD website about whitewater draw http://www.azgfd.gov/outdoor_recreation/wildlife_area_whitewater.shtml I attached some pics from the Gadsden hotel lobby....neat place! The restaurant is pretty good too.

Forum member Darren Freestone has put some of his best Coues Buck images into a calendar and it turned out great! The calendar is now available in the store. I only have a few, so order quick if you want to get one! http://store.coueswhitetail.com/coues-calendar/

Indeed there are more tags than guides....most hunts do not require a guide....but the high-end trophy hunts for elk and sheep and some for coues do require a guide. And a guide is usually required for any hunt in Unit D. Best to call and ask the department for requirements for whatever specific hunt you are interested in.

Darren's Coues Calendars are now in the CWT store. There are only a handful left, so if you want one, order it soon! http://store.coueswhitetail.com/coues-bucks-of-arizona-calendar-by-darren-freestone/

I am not sure if you are asking about what requirements there are for hiring a guide or if you are asking what the requirements are to become a guide out there....but here are some answers.... Not all hunts on the San Carlos require a guide, but you can find out which ones require a guide by visiting their website pr call the dept and ask: http://www.scatrecreation.org/ Tribal guides on San Carlos are required to attend a guide school put on by the San Carlos Recreation and Wildlife Department. The guide school is usually an all-day class where several different courses are taught on things like the game laws, business practices, first aid, scoring and judging trophies. I have frequently taught the scoring class. Every few years guides have to attend a refresher course too.

HP inkjet print cartridges - 88XL anyone need some?
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Classified Ads
No takers on the cartridges? Surely someone can use these? -
I upgraded to a new printer and it doesn't take the same print cartridges as my old HP printer. Can any of you use 88XL cartridges? I have several....black, yellow, cyan, magenta
