Glad you got the shirt! I was afraid to mention it to you since I figured your wife was getting it for you as a gift! She ordered it the day I stopped by to see you. Amanda

It was great meeting you the other day at your office. Sorry we didn't get back to stay overnight, but we hope to sometime. The cabins looked excellent! Hope you have a great b-day! Amanda

3 feet of wind....that's funny Doug!! We had about 100 feet of wind up here. Thought my house would be gone by morning! Decent amount of rain too. I was thinking how I was glad I wasn't backpacked out in my bivy sack on some cactus covered slope last night!! Sometimes I love being INSIDE! Amanda

IHunt2live, I added your orange shirt pic to the tshirt page since it's such a nice way to show off the shirt! http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/tshirts.htm Thanks! Amanda -

I think you can use the printscreen key on your keyboard. Try reading this: http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/general/h...nscreenshot.htm But I don't really need to see it since you described it. I think I understand what you are saying. I sent a note to the skin designer to see if she has a fix for it. In the meantime, if it's a problem for you, you can just switch back to the other skin as I described earlier in this thread. Amanda

The countdown isn't my favorite either. It kind of scares me!! I am not seeing the same thing as far as your description of the last post and column problems? It looks the same to me, all fits on one page. Anyone else see what Gamehauler is describing? Amanda

Me too. Ran out to pull my ground blind and POOOF. Gets my approval but please don't do Valentine's Day hehehe, I won't!! Don't worry, I am not going to go "skin happy" on every holiday! Amanda

Where'd you get your reindeer smiley? For a second I thought it came with the new skin, but I only see regular smileys. Amanda

Custom Security Box for Scoutguard trail camera
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Contests and Giveaways!
Thanks for your order Jimmer! So, the AZPackhorse security box deal is still available to the next person if they want it. Amanda -
Glad you guys like it!! For those that don't like it and would like to switch back, I think you can do so. Look at the bottom left of the forum for a white drop down box that says Christmas Club. That is the name of the current "skin". If you want the old one, just click on the drop down box and select the other skin. If that doesn't work, let me know. Sometimes options are available to me that aren't available to most members since I am admin, but I think I set it so it's available to all. Amanda

I suggest H&M Landing out of San Diego. They donate very often to the conservation groups like the AZ Deer Association fundraiser. Amanda

Check out the moon tonight!
CouesWhitetail replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Non-hunting trip reports
Awesome! Maybe they will let you digiscope some pics so you can post them here. Better yet, they probably have a built in camera to take quality pics. Amanda -

Many of you were aware of the Jim White tripler that I used to carry. Well, he had problems with the supplier on that and ended up just redoing the design and making a better product. This new magnifier is only 2.5 power vs. the 3x power of the old one. However, this 2.5x magnifier gives you a brighter image and a wider field of view than the old one did. He also reworked the design so it fits all brands of binos better than the tripler did. I put it on my swaro 15's and it lines up great! He says there isn't a pair of binos he has found yet that this magnifier doesn't fit on. I only tested it out in the backyard, but it looks much brighter than the last design and it centers better on the binos. It easily clamps on and off. It doesn't have the built in focus like the old one, but that wasn't useful anyway since you can just focus using the binocular focus knob. Weight of unit = 7.4 oz weight of unit with case = 8.8 oz Some pics: here it is inside the camo case that it comes with. It also has a lens cloth stashed in the case with it.

weather, deer movement?

You didn't look very hard then Bowsniper. I listed the orginal publication right next to the map on that page. "The map on the left shows the distribution of Coues whitetail in Arizona and is provided courtesy of the Arizona Game and Fish Department. The map is from the AGFD publication entitled "General Ecology of Coues White-tailed Deer in the Santa Rita Mountains". The map doesn't include Coues on Native American Reservations." It was hyperlinked to the publication order page on AGFD, but now they no longer have it on their website. So your best bet might be to call someone like Jim Heffelfinger of AGFD in Tucson and ask him if he knows where some extras are. Richard Ockenfels (the main researcher on that publication) retired and therefore isn't available to ask. Amanda

Added Security Boxes for Scoutguard cameras
CouesWhitetail posted a topic in CouesWhitetail.com Store
For those that are thinking of getting a scoutguard camera (or those that already have one), you can now buy a security box built just for them. And you buy the python cable lock and padlocks for the security box too. http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/trail_cameras.htm Amanda -
weather, deer movement?
CouesWhitetail replied to kybuckboyjr's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Generally, the cooler and cloudy weather allows the deer to be more active throughout the day. So you should see more activity. Rain won't stop them too much unless it's particularly heavy. As far as the moon, well, that's anybody's guess. Amanda
