  4. Due to work obligations I wasn't able to get down to help at the Team Young Gunz Women's Coues Camp this year. However, Carl sent me this update last night. They have 7 lady hunters at camp and filled four tags on Saturday! Wow, that's some serious success! They expected to get two more this morning since they had bedded four bucks Saturday night. If anyone knows any ladies that want to get into hunting, this camp is a great opportunity for that. Team Young Gunz is a nonprofit set up to teach people about hunting. http://www.teamyounggunz.com/ Congratulations to the ladies Corinna Gollubier Alisha Twitchel Heather Hariston Kasie Lehan

    Questions about Coues behavior

Yes, coues deer can be very predictable with where and when they are feeding, however, once hunting season starts, the bucks will often move to areas where there is less hunting pressure. Or they might switch to feeding at night and stay bedded during much of the day. The older a buck is the more educated he is about hunting season and they will do whatever they can to avoid hunters. Since we don't hunt coues deer does, they don't feel the same pressure and don't change their feeding and moving patterns as much as the bucks do. But if you find an area that holds several bucks during hunting season, that area is likely to have bucks in there year after year.

  18. Windows Movie Maker is likely already on your computer and is very easy to use and a surprisingly good program. Some of the paid programs that I have used and liked are Pinnacle Studio, Cyberlink Powerdirector and Adobe Premier Elements. The first two in that list are fairly easy to use and very powerful. Adobe Premier is a little harder to use. You can buy more expensive and more complex programs, but you might want to try using windows movie maker and editing some video and getting a feel for it before buying a higher end program. Just an fyi, video editing is very time consuming. And generally the more time you put in, the better the product.
