What a sweet rifle. Doesn't get much better...

I'd run a SWFA 3-9 or 3-15, or the Nightforce SHV 3-10....

My bud did not get drawn.... Cannot wait to see point creep. Bet it was a big jump....

Best thing about December hunts is the weather and 2 week seasons...

I'd burn with 5 or 6 points on a December coues hunt... You are in no man's land...

I've had the exact opposite. Easiest cartridge to load for I've had...

Both my 7-08's are at 6 3/4 and 7 pounds on the nose, all up.... Recoil is a nonissue and I hate recoil...

It's worked uphill quite a ways, I'd say the fire is less than a mile northeast of Hitchcock Campground at the upper head of that canyon. It's in the thick trees at least some above 6k feet... We watched pines explode and slurries getting dropped before they closed the bottom....
