I learned how to load on a 223 wssm, you will be fine. I learned a lot really quickly on that little roumd. The 140 AB is a great bullet for a 270wsm

Im not a fan of the 770. You'd be better off buyin a used rifle, sps, savage, or something else.

Good to hear, I know Kenton makes turrets for the Viper series too. That would make a pretty good, low priced, long range rig.

Hows that vortex stack up against the zeiss on his .264?

Whe I used to fish a lot more this is exactly how I did it. Always Power pro or Mean Green for braid and only P-line flouroclear for mono, unless I was night fishing, then I used p-line premium. (reactst for black light)

Guess it was better than sayin i had a thing for billies. My all time dream hunts are topped with rocky mountain goats and ibex. -
Remingtion SPS Tactical .308

Expansion foam works well to stiffen up the stock and get rid of the hollow noise. I did it on my rifle. Just take off the butt pad and clean he inside well with rubbing alcahol or something. Just don't use too much. -
I like butter, lemon, garlic, and onion all wrapped in foil. I don't really care for trout, but that's the only way i eat it.

Remingtion SPS Tactical .308

For short rifles i like smaller calibers, for 30 cal i like hot rods and longer tubes. I think it would be great for shooin pigs in texas off a porch. Im sure i would have to buy one though if it was a good prfor. What are you going to use it for? Im sure they are shooters. -
I try to avoid applying for the southern most units but always go down to help for at least one hunt a year, usually leftover tags. We go in a big group and haven't had any trouble yet. It also helps morale knowing 3-4 guys who can shoot real well and real far are all together. I suppose its a roll of a dice everytime you go. I would hate to go by myself, and havent in the past 5 years or so.

Dad bought it new. Runs great, 4wd is perfect. Super comfy and easy to ride. Always reliable, finds WTs really good too. 3300 OBO

I would also look into the sako A7. Havent read too much about them but they look good on paper. I have been, and always will be a remington fan. Nothing wrong with a savage either.

What kind of elevation do you hunt at for rams? I read the 5300 and figured it would be higher, but i don't know much about hunting in AK. I know i would rather hunt at 5k than 8k+. I are noticed a lack of breath in he high stuff since i moved back from Flag. -
Remington's r3 recoil pad is a SVL. Savage make a great rifle for the money. I've always prefered 700s.Im more familar with them. I would not hesitate to use a savage, or use one to start a build. I have a bolt action 17 hmr made by savage, it will put all 5 in a dime at 50 and maybe a nickel at 100 if the wind cooperates.

You lose when you stop trying, the deer wins. Spot and stalk archery coues is no small task. You will mess up a lot of stalks, well not necessarily mess up, but the deer will win. It takes a lot of perseverance to sneak in and arrow a coues buck. Dont stop trying, it will eventually all come together. Spot and stalk archery coues is on my list, and still on the list of many skilled hunters I know.

I think you will be fine exactly like that out to 400. If you want to step out further or lessen the effects of wind I would definately step up to a 180gr bullet, maybe a 165, but I like 180s, and some like 210s. If you decide to start reaching out a little further, you might want to look at some balistic tables to see where the bullet would be if you moved your sight in distance to 300. It may not change 100 very much, but definatley help when you are reaching out there at 400+ with the duplex reticle.

Alright, I'm bring this one back from the dead. Who still has their bucks back again this year? I do, well atleast one. I think he is the bottom buck below. Last year he was kind of a loaner, but this year he joined up with some forkies. I hope they help him slip up... I havent seen the top buck back but Ive only had cams out for a total of 2 weeks there, we will see what happens. I didnt draw any hunts this year so this is my year for archery I suppose. I got roughed up pretty bad in a car wreck last year duting my WT hunt so I wasnt able to finish and tag out.

The pedestal forms mounted on the wall are always cool, thats what i'll probably do if I arrow a buck this year.
-
I've always liked upright. Sneak looks goofy at the shoulder, they look like neck mounts. I have seen a half body sneak that looks killer though.
-
Wow, bad day for a heck of a bull.
-
I carry laminated business cards for that reason. Haven't had the chance to leave one yet. On guy put his treestand 40 yes from one o my cams. I haven't been back since, i got other places w/ bigger bucks. Really irked me though. If i cam across a cam on a spot id leave it be or leave a funny pic.
