  1. I took some advice from some guys with quite a few cams and a member here (rimhunter), and bought a wild view. I couldn't be happier with it. It has never messed up on me, takes good pictures, and the batteries last pretty good. I have never heard any bad things about them and they are pretty inexpensive. i got a 4mp for around $100. There are cheaper ones with fewer mp and a 5mp one for a little more. They also have a $10 manufactures mail in rebate till the end of Jan.
  2. glassed this guy up @ about 500 yds with his buddy that was prolly a 70" wide 2pt or 2x3, but i didnt spend much time lookin at the smaller one though. this guy was prolly a 4x5 maybe a 5x5 when the velvet is off its hard to tell. both his g-2's had kickers coming off the back, prolly 7 inch eye gaurds, long 2's, and some funky stuff going on with the tips of the mains, either small points, blades, or crab claws. enjoy

Do we have any Head Bangers??

speaking of headbangers did anybody see the unit 10 archery bull hunt on realtree road trips w/ michael waddell last sunday. He was rockin out and headbangin sittin water, listening to his mps player. He was really fired up. It was a really good episode. He was super excited to get a bull, and they got some great upclose footage

    Yotes on Ord

I'm guessing mt Ord off the 87. Yes there are yotes. Most are call shy close to road, as others callers have taught them the ways of the distress call. THe further away from roads you are the better. Good luck

    25 WSSM

If your not going to reload i doubt there are too many offering for wssm ammo. If you are going to reload, the wssms are kinda of a pain. The cases are really thick, and if you dont "compress them", the bolt sticks. You have to adjust your sizing die to shorten the brass more so than the press should allow, kinda of weird but its true. I dont have a load book handy but i don't think there is any advantage over a 25-06 in velocity. They are pretty neat because of the really short action, i have a wssm in a 223.

    Navajo draw

I was just wondering if anyone drew any navajo tag. I drew an archery elk. My first bull tag ever and first elk tag for 11 years. I think the azgfd has it out for me, 11 years of putting in for only archery hunts and no tag. Well the navajo came through and im about as happy and excited as a guy can get

    sportsmanship

Man 6 pages in a little over a day. I know frazier very well and heard about what happened first thing this morning. I think the situation sounds to be solved in a very mature way. It could have gotten out of hand very easily, i know people that would be outraged to find a cam on their salt. It was very sportsman like for frazier to leave his contact info instead of removing the camera. It was also very sportsman like for 4point to contact him. I do not know what was said during the conversation, but it sounds like 4point could have said "piss on you, i'm hunting there any way" but chose not too. 4point could have made the spot useless to both of them by destroying the salt or otherwise. My hat is off to you for not doing so. I just wanted to say it apears the situation was handled in a respectfull maner, and it is good to see things being worked out the right way

    broadheads you guys are shooting?

100g montec. I have heard great things bout the nap heck raisers. Heard they are a little sharper and a little bit harder metal than the montec. Im not gonna switch anytime soon the montecs work great for me

    Reloading 223 wssm

Its probably just where the bullet seating die is touching the bullet when it is being seated. Seems like my 55gr vmax does this a little in my 223wssm. If you have any other wssm specifis problems I would try at wssmzone.com. Lots of good info for these cartridges.
  16. It does say 8,000 is the minumum. Maybe they will make an example of the pocher, when they are caught

    Best prices on guns?

I would try AJI, Apache junction imports (meredian and main). They are nice guys and they sell alot of used as well as new. I'd call before hand to see if they have one, they have always treated me right. Btw those are some of the most fun pistols to shoot. One of my buddies has one and i have a ruger mark II. THey are great for plinkin arout and cheap too. SW has always seemed pretty reasponable for fire arms. I havent looked at BP too much. Cabelas seemed a little higher than others, but had exactly what i wanted on sale last month for really cheap

    personal camcorders

    probably 700 or less
  22. i know some of you guys are pretty good with cameras and camcorders, alot more knowledgeable than me. I am looking to buy a camcorder, mainly for personal outdoor use. Mostly hunting, fishing, and snowboarding. When i was looking at them about a year ago i was sold on a panasonic 3ccd camcorder. I was told that 3ccd camcorders do much better for outdoor filming, especialy low light conditions and snow conditions. The 3ccd camers i have seen >1000$ have a 10x zoom (not the professional ones, consumer ones). I would like more zoom, so i noticed the panasonic sdr-h18 a 32x zoom w/ image stabilazation and a hdd. THe only thing is that it is not a 3ccd. My questions are; is the 3ccd thing that big of a deal to loose out on all the zoom. And, what is the better way to go HDD or MiniDV. I have heard the hdd is really easy to use but the minidv can me a little better image quality. In am basicly looking for the best bang for my buck while getting some pretty decent video.

    personal camcorders

That was one of the ones i was looking at a little while back, is the 10x zoom suffecient? I would love to be a able to video something at 300 yds from a good tripod, for scouting and hunting both. I dont even know if this is possible with a 32x zoom.

    Anyone hunt Hawaii?

I went to kuai probably 5 years ago. I had no idea on that island they hunted. Ive heard since that there is some ferrel pigs on the isands and a certain island that has a ton of difgferent types of pheasant. Kuai is an awsome place, i enjoyed it. There is a ton of wild chickens that live there, thats kinda cool

    Varmint Calling/Predator Hunting

I prefer the dan thompson calls, I think PC1 and PC2, the cottontail and the jack rabbit. Ive never had one lock up, i used to use the sceery calls but they lock up with just a little bit of dust or too much saliva. Thompson also makes an awsome howler, the red desert. It is probably the easiest howler ive used and sounds great. Haydell also makes a good distress call, i like the baby jack rabbit. Its a little raspier and louder than a cottontail, but not a full blown jack rabbit. I also ue the tally-ho for ki-yi's, injured dog or coyote noices.
