Im a fan of the wildviews aswell. I heard cabelas runs that 2.0 twin pack on sale from time to time for just over 100 bucks. I have a few of the 1.3 and a 4mp. Check out chasingame.com for reviews and other info, they do a pretty good job. I think they gave that timber eye a pretty rough review. I found interstate batteries last longest for me in my wild views. I made the mistake of buying energizers last time. They lasted 6 days. i checked the cam on day 10, lucky i did though. The interstates last a month.

well i bit the bullet. Sounds like they were have a few issues but have since weeded them out. I have one on its way. Ill prolly test it out all day in the house to take pics of the dog on friday and hang it sat. I'll keep you guys posted on how it turns out.

Where at in NE mesa. ill have to keep an eye out. I'm about as NE as you get. All I see are gambells but the ones by my house are pumpin them out this year. I saw a bunch of 'em no bigger than a quarter just the other day. They were litterally shorter than mommies legs

I'll get some of mine up tonight, who had the antelope and coues that were hangin out together. That was a good one. All good ones so far. I like the bear w/ little cubs, the turkey and coues. The SLAP is gonna be tough to beat though.

Right now i'm using a 300 rum w/ the TDS zeroed at 300. One of these days I'll put that scope on somethin else and maybe get something with some turrets from Kenton Industries. All may other stuff is standard reticle. Oh wait i Have a 17hmr w/ turrets, that thing is something else.

I have had good luck with wildview cams. They are inexpensive and work well. The only down side is their trigger speed. They are probably not the best choice for setting up on a trail.

I was looking for deer so i didnt get to see the EliteXC. I forgot to tivo it too . I did see the WEC though, what a card. Staying 5 rounds with Faber aint no walk in the park. What a chin Pulver had too. I was pullin for Lil Evil, but glad to see a good fight, that didn't end 30 seconds into the first. Another good fight was the Torres fight. I've liked him since he beat that popeye guy. Did anybody else notice Clay Guida standing ringside when Torres and Maeda walked into the ring. I hope he has another fight coming up, Hes one of my fav's.

I use the BL2200 and an eberlestock gunlinger. Both are great made packs. Both fit me really well. Im not a very big guy, and its hard to find a big enough pack that fits well enough to haul a ways. I usually don't haul a spotter so on the 2200 i use that pouch for a 1 liter bottle of water. I also put the 15's in the little zipper pocket on the inside of the pack. That little orange deal comes in real handy for packin stuff out too. You can fit quite a bit on the outside of the pack if its done right. I really like the gunslinger though. Its a little bigger, and it holds my rifle. I dont think you could go wrong with an Eberlestock or Badlands

Well i ordered some last week. I got them friday and didnt have time to play with them untill sunday. I have yet to shoot broadheads with them yet. They shot just as good as my normal vanes, if not better. Its hard to tell because i havent shot too much lately. If it continue to like them, they may tag along in septemper looking for bulls

+1 on the head. I have two of them. I have one on a bogen 3001 and one on a lighter velbon, from pictures I think it is very similar to the one Amanda has. I usually haul both rigs. One for video and one for glassin. My dad has a bum back so i haul it for him too. In the wind or standing hardly anything will beat the 3001. I use it for video mostly on long shots. When i archery hunt the bogen stays in the truck and i haul the velbon. The bogen was the first real tripod i used. The thing weighs a ton but i got used to it. Now when i pack the little one i feal like im hardly hauling anything. Im not a big fan of a grip head. It clicks every time you move it. Other heads to look at would be a Jim White and the Outdoorsmans. Ive used both, i prefer the Outdoorsmans. For the money the 700rc2 is tough to beat. If the handle is too long, just trim it down to size

I agree with you. I was on the November and December bull hunts last year. There were people everywhere getting stuck, nothing they could do about it but get stuck worse. I'd get stuck too if I only got one chance in ten years to get out. I guess I could get out of rule #1 using rule #4. If it was my land I'd definately get stuck. And how abvout rule #3? How close is nearby, is it illegal or unethical to sit water and have some cattle get a drink?

I use a little bitty goose. You can tuck the caliper part into the wrist band so its out of the way. That comes in pretty handy when you're calling and don't want your release to "CLANK" on the call. When I'm riding on a quad or in a truck, I tuck it away and it never gets in the way

I use the baers feet, but usually have to replace them every season. I have also done the thick socks too. I think they are equally quiet. I do think the socks are more effective because you have to go so dang slow, and carefully place each step. This season I am going to try and make my own. I want to start with a pair of mocosains(sp) then put a layer of foam on the bottom. Then cover that with fabric, something similar to what stuffed animals are made out of. I have been looking for a while, but baven't found any that was up to par. Although, I have yet to look in a fabric or artsy-fartsy store.

i shoot a 223 wssm. I shoot 55 gr V-max right aty 4000 fps. Those little cases are a pain in the you know what to size. Check out wssmzone.com. Make sure to read the "hard bolt lift" thread; that will explain everything you need to know. Just a side note; I have a 243win that loves the 58 gr. vmax. I also use varget powder in both roounds.

I too have a break on my rifle and carry muffs and disposable plugs. The best "system" ive found is the banded ear plugs. They are held together with a thin flexable piece of plastic. I wear those around my neck, where they are close, instead of zipped up in my pack.

I went for like 6 years in a row. I didn't go last year, and i doubt ill be there this year. I think it is getting way out of hand. More drama, fights, and arrests every year. Ledoux and Sawer Brown were prabably the best performers I ever saw there.

I never could get used to the Jim White head. It is built great, i just can't use it very well. I use the 700rc2. I video and glass of the same head so it works well. I cut the arm length way down to make it less bulky. I dont think you could go wrong with either one. I really wuold like to have the newer Outdoorsman's head though. I think it is the best of both worlds; smooth and compact.
