This goes back to a post I made a few months back, you have to understand where these scopes are made, when your in the under 500.00 dollar range you get China, with all the brands if your not in the American or Japan made price range you get mass produced products all coming from the same few factories in China most likely. No one can make a scope that’s decent for a low price, zero compromise named theirs right. Quality is top notch but your not getting it for 599.99

I had a light bulb moment years back, My only second focal plane scope is for F class target shooting. If you want to improve your groups at 600 to 1000 a high power SFP like the Trijicon ten mile 50 power SFP is the tool to use. Its all about the reticle and power, you can certainly use either but theres always a correct tool and one that will work. You want to talk about crazy,, look at the March scopes in 80 power. This industry has grown and developed at an amazing rate the last ten years. One of these days I will have time to test some scopes, I have my fixture and tall target board but every time I get a chance the wind is killing my target. I just picked up a DNT the one and its dang nice glass, the Athlon cronus is crazy good as well, I shoot a Riton on my comp 22lr and its very good.

Anyone switched to copper bullets?
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Rudebob's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
That’s the bummer, I was going to switch but for every good performance I have heard of a bad one. Not much different than lead bullets but the curve of good performance leans to the lead side. -
New never fired Springfield 2020 rimfire 22LR with 3 ten round mags. Pic base included. $399.00 located west valley in Wittmann.

Afte the recent deer seasons what are some observations on deer herds in your areas? We had a great couple of trips this year but in two units we have been in a bunch over the years and spent roughly 7 or 8 days in each this year we saw 4 Coues spikes and 3 Muley spikes. Saw a ton of does but man this was one of the toughest years I can remember. Didn't even get one opportunity over two hunts. We worked everything from the camp to 4 miles into the wilderness. My eyes are still baked from glassing.

Ya I will say that, the water was crazy. I have for sure never seen as much water as we did this year. Every single tank was loaded. A couple of springs that were dry 2 years in a row were flowing again. Tons of logging going on across the state as well so hopefully they are doing it right and not going too far. Some of the cuts we ran across seemed a little excessive. We got hooked up by one crew, helped them out with a floor jack and they filled my truck with juniper and oak.

I’ll take this if you can meet in phx at some point? I will be in phx often starting next weekend. Cash.

Just another FYI Palmetto is almost a direct to consumer. They price close to dealer pricing and undercut the distributors, they also didn’t have any options for dealer pricing up until a few weeks ago. They are known for their branded stuff being super cheap on price and build but I’ve only seen a few bad parts. (Mostly upper AR15 oversized diameters). My buddy calls them Poverty State Armory.

That’s one of many. Now Springfield is coming out with their California edition. It’s the plan they have to just get any small thing they can against guns. The state has enough no sense voters that they keep the power and use it.

Liberal lawsuits and abuse of the legal system unfortunately California and liberal lawyers and judges have forced Glock into a design change. it’s amazing the discrimination that is allowed against such an American industry. From banking to insurance large corporations can just refuse you the ability to operate or even lock your business up and nothing is done. Yet they can force a small business to work with individuals they don’t want to serve. Frustrating to say the least.

7 mm Backcountry
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Yes that was my understanding, that’s why it doesn’t lose speed as the barrel gets shorter. It’s also surprising what barrel life looks like. Test barrels were up over 2000 rounds and still good. -

Lee precision is the first out with reloading dies. Soon as I find a cheap long action reciever Im going to try a 16 in barrel suppressed with 175 bergers Theres a really well done article on Snipers Hide from a guy who made his own dies and is also using brass cases in this chamber. Maybe I can get some more chambers on this reamer now. -
I have a brand new springfeild 2020 never fired, can meet in phx, have extra springfeild mag as well and it takes the 10/22 mags but I hear the springfeild work better for some reason. 400.00
