After a few monsoon seasons up in the mountains and seeing tons of different mushrooms I started studying up so I could use them for dinner. Here are some great books. I suggest using a field guide since there is just too much room for error.

Come on heat buddy we are just trying to help. It truly is bad on these big weekends. Just a lot of people. Last time I did a big weekend we stayed near potato lake and had a good time. Yes a lot of campers but quiet at night. We hit bear canyon parking lot and it was full so we didn't fish. Now I have kayacks and we go across the lake anyway , you will have fun no matter what but try to get there early.

I am leaning on dodge myself, mainly for their braking system. My mechanic has good things to say about dodge as well. I hear a lot of good about the new for 6.7 motor. In the end I think its hard to go wrong with a newer truck. I have had my ford 10 hrs now and it may get handed down to my daughter or sold but its Benn pretty good overall. I am not happy with fords egr fiasco though.

You couldn't pay me to go up there this weekend. If I had to I would do chevlon, bear canyon will be packed. We went last year the Tuesday after memorial and bear canyon looked like the backside of a south side circle k. Plenty of used diapers laying around as well.

The other thing is case capacity, it could be that the amount of 4895 that gets OK pressure is not enough to fill the case and causes consistency issues. Slower powder fills more of the case.

I hear ya on the other rounds with big bullets and its not that it won't work its just that with all the testing done by the bullet guys it doesn't work well. I think case configuration and barrel length in the 375 is what changes things for faster burn vs slow.

Maybe RL 22 or 19. Or 4350 range.

Ya its a little fast for the bigger bullets and the win mag. It likes the slower burns like 4831. That's what I run on the mags like the 300.

Congrats on the race and a great pace. We were up in Payson and Heber this weekend and I made a 3.5 run in the hills, felt very good dispite the cold and rain and snow.

Mountain house all the way. Either homemade or store bought. 1 can of fuel lasts me 4 days with 3 dinners and 4 coffees and its not empty

Msr pocket rocket, eureeka solitaire tent, msr sweetwater pump, thermarest inflatable pad, slumberjack 30 degree bag.

Rodeo went off well. We and the chf girls were wet and cold but they made it through. Proud of my girl.
