These are great, I have several on water holes with cameras attached to them and blinds close by. Funny I have to put signs on them so other guys don't hunt there! Free bump for a great set up.

I know I saw a books to read section but cant find it now so here ya go, I am reading some books about B.C. hunting back in the 30's and thru to the 60's and this one now is crazy but a good read. I have a signed copy from Del Burk called Horses, Trails, and Trophies. Man they were nuts back then and I feel like a little girl hunter compared to what these guys were doing. Several books from up there are just as crazy.

I happen to be trying the hodgdon superformance on my dads 270 and I am running 130 grn vld with 53.5 grns. Shot very well out of a 26 in barrel. 2900 fps if I remember right.

I think the day where we can make corrections is coming soon. Luckily I have not made a mistake yet. I usually put in a few friends apps and all of my family. Being a first generation hunter and getting my dad, son, daughter, into this I am the goto guy for dates, deadlines, license numbers, hunt numbers, scouting, and many other tasks related. I know many of us do the same work for the love of hunting and family. If a mistake was made it would save some from serious heart ache if we could get just a little assistance from those who benefit the most from our support.

I've never seen anyone keep the head or hide but I guess it makes sense. Regs say proof of sex not antler so glands should work. Wouldn't hurt to clarify but videos I've seen in field everyone does the glands and not head. I like the skulls so I would keep anyway

After a few monsoon seasons up in the mountains and seeing tons of different mushrooms I started studying up so I could use them for dinner. Here are some great books. I suggest using a field guide since there is just too much room for error.

Come on heat buddy we are just trying to help. It truly is bad on these big weekends. Just a lot of people. Last time I did a big weekend we stayed near potato lake and had a good time. Yes a lot of campers but quiet at night. We hit bear canyon parking lot and it was full so we didn't fish. Now I have kayacks and we go across the lake anyway , you will have fun no matter what but try to get there early.

I am leaning on dodge myself, mainly for their braking system. My mechanic has good things to say about dodge as well. I hear a lot of good about the new for 6.7 motor. In the end I think its hard to go wrong with a newer truck. I have had my ford 10 hrs now and it may get handed down to my daughter or sold but its Benn pretty good overall. I am not happy with fords egr fiasco though.
