Usually guys butcher up the animal and hang the quarters for the packer. Haul the antlers and straps out on their backs. Quarters should be fine up there for a few days, would be good for them to hang anyway. As long as nothing gets into them of course.

I went out last year in 4a I think but didn't see any. Did some scouting and hiking for a few ddays. Nice to do some scouting and have the bow along

We didn't see a single mule. Looked hard but nothing. I talked to a few other guys with the same result no deer. Whitetail were looking good though.

Hey by the way that fire wood was amazing. Best wood I have ever used.

Tim and family were over for the evening helping put the protein away.

You know I didn't weigh them but we did 25 lbs give or take. It was amazing. We also had a nice roast from one of the rear qquarters which I sous vide to about 130 degrees then 2 min per side on the ggrill then sliced thin and a side of horseradish.

I drew a 20b general for fedruary 2015. I am going with my bow on this hunt and have 2 herds settled on. Anyone else going hunting on the south side of 20b? I live close by and will be out a bunch if anyone wants to do some scouting or maybe hunt if your going with a bow as well.

Funny last year I was scouting javi for my daughter and took my bow well Xmas eve and we had plans in town so when I got on some good mulies I lost time and ended up jogging 2 mile with backpack on never scouted pigs and drove like an butt back to wickenburg where the wife was waiting with my pants outside the shower. Lol could have been a mossy oak commercial.

I have been in that area not hunting and I don't see a lot of archery guys. A lot of traffic but not hunters. I have never seen anyone carrying a bow.

Very cool. I have seen a few as well on horse trails but not that big.
