there are little pcs like that all over arizona where you have to cross private to get to forest land and its good when the private owners work with the public. lets hope it stays that way and more and more land gets bought up and placed in trust to the states so all can enjoy. heres to those who can have a small pc of heaven and are good stewards and also to those who have a million pcs of heaven may they both grow big deer and elk and let everyone able hunt and watch them for generations to come. or if they decide to put up gates and charge the may all those deer and elk jump their fences for public land.

Small rant here, I don't believe that one owner should control 1 million acres of land for any reason unless its public land held in trust. I believe this is just another part of the one percent putting thier thumb on everyone else. This thought was brought on by a recent article in the Wildlife Views Magazine availible from Game and Fish. Not a bad little mag and it looks like its going to be the set up for future plans in our state. For a moment think about the Big Bo deal from last season and then consider Babbitt Ranches over one million acres holdings including land locks. Well not wanting to be left out Babbitt ranches got in with Game and Fish and I predict they will be generating revenue very soon mark my words, Game and Fish is working on a new set up with land owners who allow access to their lands called the Landowner Compact. I suggest if you have any favorite places involving the Babbitt ranches anywhere find this article and read it and be ready for anything. I am usually a glass half full guy for sure but this looks really bad in context.

that all sounds great and good to improve on the land and i understand access can allow people to trash things but basically you have blocked access to the public, i cant head up there and go for a hike without being a tresspasser so its good for you and your group but not the public. i just like seeing wide open wild places availible to go into and hunt or camp or whatever. arizona is a great open land state for sure and there are plenty of open lands to go play on i agree, just figured if magaun ranch and babbit and a few others all get together with access plans with game and fish we will have a whole new fee to plan into even a one day scouting trip to grab a camera card or get some fresh air in the woods.

I guess I dont know about what you are talking about, was Federal/State land sold for Big Bo/Babbit ranches??? or was it privite land bought-up by someone??? I believe it was private land bought up but some of the land on the Big Bo was state trust and it becomes land locked now, Babbit has the same deal with State Trust and land locked state forest lands according to Game and Fish. I dont know how much but I am guessing they have roads that are not right of ways or easments the state can enforce. So if they chose to they could block and land lock access by roads. You can still get to most of the land with a big ride or hike I am guessing. You remember the guy who owned the road up to the skywalk or something at the Grand canyon, he owned the land the road was on and shut it down to all traffic then started charging people to pass, something like that.

ok i unpredict then its all yours. edge, sounds good lets maybe bbq my place unless your already plannin? or fish tacos, we were already plannin that anyway

We will have to wait until around the deer draw for any answers on this issue, I sent an email to the gentleman in charge of this and he is auto replying out of office with no contact until July 17th. Lucky dog.

Looks like its only available physically and not online, I will have to type up the story and post it. You are right on some of the content stating Game and Fish helping private land owners and maybe thats what will happen but it all cost money. I am just making a prediction, I dont even use any of the land that would be effected, Maybe they will partner up with land owners and there wont be charges involved in access but some of the wording was the same that showed up in unit 10. Some sounds like a good thing and some does not. Seems like a very big deal since there are alot of land owners. Now comes the setting of rules and then the checkpoints and then restricting access at certain times. The bottom line is their land is getting a beat down from the public use or mis-use and now they have had enough so to keep it open they need money and enforcement and more rules so the dummies who were mis-useing can be booted or fined. And they are planning on all these land owners being combined so if you screw up on one property you get booted on all. (thats a good thing) LIke the retard at christopher creek with the fire last weekend. (got nailed by the way)

Ok so look at texas and make the same comment. nothing good about a fence and a road every mile. try hunting when there is no public land and lets see how many great days you spend out when someone owns the santa ritas? i would rather see your posts as they are now and not from some guys ranch you paid to get on.

oh i get it??

I agree it looks like the rear of the scope is higher than the front to me. The main tube on the scope should be parallel with the action. If you have calipers just measure the bases and see if they are different. MOA base is designed to lean the scope forward or down in the front to allow scopes with less elevation adjustment to reach out to longer distances. Most common is 20 MOA base.
-
i use ross outdoors and never lost one, even pass thru my target and they stay.
-
Make sure you didnt get MOA built into your rings. Sounds more like the scope is bad and they set the optics in with some built in MOA. I say plan on hunting out to 1000 and your good. If your scope looks parallel to the barrel from the side then most likely its the scope, if its tilted forward into the barrel then your rings are set with moa or they are not on right. Alot of barrels have two different thickness bases to accomodate for the difference in height where the bases mount on the barrel or action. Send out pics form the side and you will get plenty of answers.

My wife and I and some friends who oddly enough dont hunt, all go every year for 4 years now and a few before that before I was a hunter. We always have a good time and its worth it if you want to get involved in the hunting community and what it stands for. These events are keeping a future alive for our sport. I here tell that the Tucson RMEF is number one in alot of the country and puts up some huge numbers, I must admit I am not a high roller and I get out bid alot and have never won a raffle but we do our part and have fun doing it. I highly recomend it, plan on about 2 or 3 hundred bucks and your set. If you have some bigger rolls by all means drop some coin for elk conservation.

i think the mention deserves a pic of the old scabard on scout since you brought it up
