Love to see the girls getting it done, congrats

I say discuss it with them and lay out the different mindsets of people who hunt and then let them decide. On a similar note what about hunting at all??? My kids are not really into it and I am not sure I will be doing much more hunting with them, I am conflicted here because we have such a good time and they do enjoy it but they don't participate until hunt day, they don't discuss it with me they don't look to see when to put in, etc etc. When I was a kid I used to clean the boat organize the tackle and poles, get bait while shopping with mom, and be up before dad making coffee just for a half day on the water and I was 9 yrs old.

Couple of reloading questions
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Dodger2's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Winchester brass is known for being thicker as well and may be part of the issue, definately heated barrel helped them load. I would start measuring diameters on the loaded rounds. I would guess your Win brass is larger at the neck than the Fed. Look into neck turning also if your going to be neck sizing, the thickness varies as you check around the neck so when you neck size you will get different internal diameters and your bullet press will be different. This can cause the neck outer diameter to be larger after putting the bullet in. I neck turn my important long range rounds and then neck size but I still pin check every round for a press of .001 and under. I leave my bullets long and let the chamber set the depth. Military brass is thicker as well and messes with your case capacity so you get less air space so this is why guys weigh brass into lots after all prep work is done, it is figured you get the same wall thickness if they weigh the same. I use K&M shooting supply Turner by the way. Works great. I make my own cutters so I can bump the angle right and eliminate any doughnut issues. -
Dude, buiscuts and Gravy at Mike and Rhondas out of this world. I dont know about their butchering but breakfast rocks there.

Well just to update, everything went fine and G&F called yesterday to correct my card information. We drew tags for the family and the system seemed to work well. Thank god, with no Elk draw and no Deer draw we needed some good news. So I guess if you do the online and your card gets messed up somehow don't worry too much it will most likely be ok, I will be doing the online form now on. The best thing about the online part is maybe 2 things, getting your license right when you buy it and you can print it and also save it electronically and print it again if needed, second is all the information is auto filled out when your start, no fretting over every letter in every box, literally my first time to do 3 apps with 4 individuals in different sequences I think it took me 15 minutes after printing licenses and saving data. You also get receipts of transactions emailed immediately.

So of course after fighting the online process for several years I went for it with the Javi draw and it went very smooth I must say, until today when I received my new CC. OUch. I called AZGF and they are filing a special note to call me if drawn because they can see that my cards exp date is incorrect but they cant change it even though the deadline was last night. Man very frustrating, they were of course able to charge me for my app fee and license fee for 2014 before the new card took hold but now I will be rejected if drawn for my my Kids Javi hunts. Why cant they just charge the dang thing right when I put it in?????? This would not be an issue and they wouldnt have to have all the handling crap of all those numbers and cards. GF said they would call if rejected to fix any issue so we should be ok but I have a stomach ache now!!!! Venting completed

Congrats -
Now when you start firing those just neck size and you full length won't push material down to the belt and you should get 6 plus loadings at least. I am on 7 with mine so far.

First Buck Down! UPDATED
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Elkhunter1's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Good deal, way to break the ice. -
Love this post, thanks for writing, I think I have a few of those cals in storage that were handed down to me, I will have to break them out and see. Yes there are opportunities in AZ for long shots but there are opportunities for close shots as well, just depends on how hard you want to work. Dont miss, it will ruin your day every time.
