Polling to see how everyone would feel about No more "off road" travel to retrieve game? Meaning you would have to clean the downed animal where it lays and bring it to the road. I have seen some tire ruts in some beautiful areas and its depressing.

Turns out this family worked long years in bc and ended up snow birds in az. Small world, I have camped in the same spot under the same tree described in this book.

Off road travel to retrieve Big Game
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in The Campfire
To me it all comes down to ethics, even my 4 legged means of travel leaves marks so nothings perfect. I sleep good at night and can look in the mirror. Raise a glass to common sense and good ethics for all. Only thing better then getting my own meat out someday is helping others do it. Raise another glass to all the great arizona hunters, they all leave marks, good and sometimes not. -
Found it on amazon.

missing one year you lose loyalty and you lose all after missing 5 years

Do Loyalty points stay with you when you get drawn? So you would have 2 points at all times if you have hunter edd??????

Off road travel to retrieve Big Game
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in The Campfire
Meat loss and in the eye of the public were two items I thought would come up. I was just studying the regs and remembered all the times I have seen areas torn up from vehicles. Not that they were hunter made but it made me think. I also was told some stories around the campfire of off road adventures to get elk out. I spend almost all of my time in wilderness areas so its not an issue there but when I do ride other areas I am surprised at the amount of damage off road and around roads. -
Never mind I just read it in the regs.

Wireless trail camera question....prior to opener.
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to Bitter24's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I can't imagine there being a good reason not to allow cameras. I have been in almost all of the larger wilderness areas in az and rarely do I see any humans and have never seen forest service personel. The only sign I see are stupid cattle and signs of lazy outfitters or hunters or backpackers. Usually there are no footprints at all for months. For the workin man its too much work to use cameras in wilderness anyway so there's not a lot of arguments I'm sure. -
Ya the E model is the same plus some minor changes and new reticle option that has windage. I found an E model brand new for 199.00 so I may hit that one. 3x9x40 retail online is 259.00 on sale from 358.00 so 199.00 sounds good to me. Thanks for the info

Makes more sense now, Thanks for the review. I was leaning that way and you knocked me off the fence.

The issue is in the wording where it says intent. Meaning to me if a hunter brings in something salt or mineral for hunting its not legal but if there are blocks brought in by rancher for cattle you can hunt it. Bottom line ask game officer if you pack in salt and place it for hunting is it ok? I am planning salt to hunt or get pics until I hear otherwise

Trophy Coues Deer Episode!
MULEPACKHUNTER replied to AZwest16's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Dont have television so cant watch but if anyone was able to watch on the internet let me know???? I voted anyway based on association. -
It looks like overall I will be happy with the changes other than the application fee of 13.00. That one will generate a ton of extra money for AZGF but at least they are dedicating the 3.00 and 5.00 portions of that fee to hunter access and such. I was planning on hitting them hard on that fee for phase 2 meetings and emails but now I am conflicted.

MULEPACKHUNTER replied to BigMoqui's topic in The Campfire
Sad day for those who enjoy nature as it was intended, I think all 4 digit fr should be closed myself but that's just me so I am bummed but congrats to those who need or like to sit on their motorized couches and plow through the world. -
Looks like you should start guiding the way you get on them!!! Awsome work.
