    T Lock vs Montec

I was lucky enough to get some good advise with my first arrow set up, I'm running at 485 grn on my finished arrows. 68 lbs at 30 in draw. Don't know the speed but I do know my arrows go deeper than anyone I've ever shot with. If the shoulder keeps going I should be ok at this lbs.

    T Lock vs Montec

Seems like it's always this story, hit perfect but no blood trail. Or it was a marginal hit and bled like crazy best broadheads ever. Elk are tuff and nails I'm guessing any broadhead can be good or bad depending on a lot of factors. So if I sharpen the Montec to perfection and sharpen the T loc to perfection they probably both stand about the same chance

    Conservation funding

I believe the statement of nonhunters contributing more money to wildlife by far is completely false, I can't say nationally for sure since my above research shows some states have statewide taxes all going to wildlife. I'm pretty sure in az it's majority hunters. I guess this person never heard of pitman Roberts or dingle Johnson To date 7 billion from pitman Roberts alone

    Conservation funding

Recently I've done some research on funding in different states, Missouri has a pretty good handle on funding supported by all groups. Missouri citizens voted in by a large majority a 1/8 of 1 cent sales tax addition which is dedicated to conservation , raising over 100 million per year since 1972. Although this isn't exactly money that could be used to fight off unwarranted attacks on hunting here in az it is a path that should be considered. I will try to get this information to the group wanting to use our tags for funding. This information came up in Steven rinellas podcast , if your not listening to some of these podcasts your missing out on some great stories and discussions

Conserve and Protect (Tags) Presentation at G&F Mtg

In addition I'm going to send some text to Steven Rinella and see if we can get some discussion from him on his podcast live here in az in June. If anything we can talk some before and after the show.

  15. Not to bash on guide companies, I have led a few people to guides here in az and of course they have their place but I'm guessing the avrg hunter who has cameras is like myself and uses them very sparingly and has maybe 2 or 4 cameras. I know there are many guides who have over 50 cameras in one unit and I'm sure there are more, if you do the math it doesn't take long for it to be a mess out there. Even with those numbers I really haven't seen any problems out there where I would say cameras need to be banned. I'm guessing people are tired of theft and conflict around water holes. Myself I think it's the constant human pressure that's more of an issue
  16. This is totally un enforceable, I do agree there should not be any live cameras during hunting seasons. I do feel that game animals get way too much pressure, It is possible that removing cameras and even removing shed hunting it would improve game populations. Other states have done such things with some success.

    Pack animals??

You can haul goats in your backpack if you want. Small enclose trailer is good, truck bed will work if they are tied in. A van works really well.

    Elk burgers

This batch was straight pork fat. The best I've done so far was saving the fat cap off of a brisket then grinding that in. Really good.
