What a difference a year makes. Last year there was water everywhere. This year scary dry. On Monday had the place to myself, the pigs finally came out about 930a and glassed them up. During my stalk a truck comes down the road when I'm at 50 yards. Pigs become skittish and head up and over the ridge. Just my luck. Oh well, gotta keep pluggin away.......

Any model 70 owners out there? What loads have you had success with? Getting ready to work some up but wanted some advice before I purchase some powders. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys. My model 70 has a 24" barrel, NON-floated. My last loads were charged with H4831SC 55 grains, 150 grain Nosler ballistic tips, Remington brass, Winchester primers. These worked for me. Never clocked them but I can hit water jugs at 400 yards with no issue. Just wondering if anyone has had success with another recipe. BTW-I get the characteristic model 70 grouping with a hot barrel (shot 1 and 2 touching, shot 3 flyer) at 100 yards. Drove me nuts until I figured it out.

They recognize a valid Arizona OHV sticker. Helmets required for under 18 years old at all times and adults, if driving on pavement.
