Reminder: Trail cam meeting/webcast tonight at main G&F office

The game and frogs have spent too much time and resources to not regulate us on this matter. I believe they are going to pass something, whether they can enforce it or not. I run a string of 6 game cameras. I normally take them down before the general Javelina hunts start and put them back up in May. I have 4 in the field right now and 2 sitting at home. I would be in favor of registering my cameras with them for a reasonable annual fee. If an issue arose with one of my camera's from a wildlife manager, rancher, hunter, hiker or bird watcher, the frogs would have my contact information. Just like anything else in life, we would have to rely mostly on the "honor system". Will there be loop holes, yes. Will creative individuals find another way, yes. All of which are matters that are beyond my control. Hanging and checking cameras give me and the kids something to do during the lulls. Do I archery hunt deer, yes. Am I trying to gain intell, yes. Do we enjoy being surprised when a new animal shows up on a travel corridor or saddle that we hung a camera in, yes. We all have our favorite hunting or camping spot. If I arrive and someone is already there, do I hunt or camp right next to them? Nope, I'll move on to find another or new spot. I follow the same philosophy when it comes to my game cameras. If someone is already there, I'll pose for the camera, throw up the peace sign, then move on. -
If it's true, what a shame.

Thanks for the update fellas. Had to take my son to club baseball tryouts. I couldn't login on my phone at the field. -
Woolco usually has a adequate selection in the sporting goods section. The black light poster section is good to. They were out of the Farah Faucet posters though, the last time I was there.

The money that used to go to them, now goes to the NRA.

Pencil me in for the craftsman. The kids have a tournament today and tomorrow at Glenfair lanes in Glendale. Will you be around tomorrow? Thanks.

What are your major crossroads? I'm interested in the craftsman.

Pointless, just pointless.

Wow that came out nice.

South mountain, above Alpine. Nature bob's might be better though.

Good luck! Keep the updates coming for those of us stuck at work.

Getting anxious........warm temps, La Niña, should be interesting.

Congrats! I'm still 2 weeks away.

First one circa 1992, unit 27, literally the last hour of the hunt. They still offered any antler tags back in them days. Everything else has been down south.

I see no mention of seeps or springs, so do you think hanging a camera there is still ok? If I stumble upon an active seep and I place a few cantaloupe size rocks around it, would this be considered a "developed" water source? Just curious.

My girlfriend got her card hit today and results changed

I saw the same thing. When the first leftover list came out there was 2 unit 27 cow tags. The following day, the list was updated again and those 2 tags did not show up. -
7mm Mag Tikka t3 Load Data?
Lazy-H98 replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
New Tikka T3X Lite Stainless 7MM Rem Mag. I've got about 16 factory rounds (11 Winchester 150 grain power points, and 5 Hornady 162 grain SST's) through the new barrel. Gathered data and adjusted the trigger down to 2.2 pounds. It's at the Smith getting fitted for a muzzle brake. When I get it back, I want to begin working up some loads for it. Any pet load updates from the Tikka 7MM fellers out there that have been working for you? -
Good ole 870 express 12ga.
