I always print out our bonus points in January of every year so I have a hard copy record. Game and fish always made me nervous even before this fiasco. When I checked this morning, it looks like the bonus points have not been updated yet but.......................... My wife picked up an extra Turkey point for 1/31/21 up until now????? So IDK?

Wayback 71-great info and pics, thanks for sharing. Below is my money load, at 100 yard zero. Maybe the off the shelf Tikka barrels on our rifles, prefer 2800-2900 FPS. Accubonds have proven flat out lethal for me. A Coues, Muley and Bull Elk at 404 yards, 416 yards and 400 yards. All one shot kills. I'm currently working up a load from my off the shelf .270 winchester model 70. Welcome to the board BTW.

John O- Factory Tikka's will shoot. The only upgrade I did was fit it with a lil bastard brake. With my 160gr Accubonds, I'm sitting .076" off the lands. The Accubond results are just flat out lethal. I may have to keep the 162gr ELD's in mind, though.

Finding what your barrel likes to eat is key. You'll have to decide if you want to chase good groups, speed and or both. When I was working up the load for my 7MM Tikka T3 24" Stainless, my goal was a load that gave me repeatable tight groups for hunting. I kept good notes and took lots of pictures. When I felt like I was getting close, the only change I made was switching to Winchester brass, to find my money load. I'm by far no expert, it just so happened that I had once shot brass laying around from when I was doing my barrel break in. Just lucky I guess, for once. Have fun, be safe, be smart and take good notes. Also-Lance and 10Turkeys from this forum were a big help to me along the way.

Not sure if you guys follow Bow Disciples on UT, but he was sitting in his tree stand over a water source in New Mexico, during his elk hunt. While in his stand, a side by side pulls up to the tank and one guy tells the other, "hey look, there are two trail cameras, should we take the memory cards?" In a loud stern voice, James says, "NO!". They then start the side by side and drive off. The kicker is, they had a kid in the back seat with them.

Those are all solid plans. Yes stay away from water, lock boxes and locks only stop the honest people, to tempting IMO. I ran 8 cameras last year for my elk hunt. None were over water, but it was nearby. The bulls and bucks found my salt within days. Locate any trails in or out, and establish your brown salt lick just off the trail. Pinch points are also great locations. If cattle are in the area, forget about salt and cameras, find another spot. Moo cows will destroy it.

+1 about Big Lake. We fished it 2 weeks ago from the shore for 2 days. Not a single bit for us or anyone we talked to. Watched boat after boat come in, they to were getting skunked. Except for one boat angler, who was parked just beyond our casting reach. I watched him reel in 3 nice ones in 60m midday. He was fishing off the bottom. Not sure what's going on there.

I do the same. All my app confirmation emails (wife and kids), goes into a separate folder in my email titled, "Arizona Big Game Draw". I also hate the order number thing.
