Not sure I would waste 23 or 24 points on 10 right now ,in the last 3 years have you seen a buck bigger then 86 offically. Maybe one,you can kill a buck like that in unit 7,19a 4a 5a if you scout.0k 19a might be tough for a 86 inch buck because the raffle or Auction hunter might take it first.and if you think you are going to kill a toad in 5b without lots of scouting think again, the Auction or raffle hunter that kill the studs every year kill them before they have any pressure on them they feed all summer feeding next to the road with no one shooting at them.then when the rut starts before the general hunts start they come out of the trees, easy pickens.

Anyone following this, proposed Tonto Closures?
Seldom Drawn replied to PRDATR's topic in The Campfire
Proablaby not,all the meetinigs when coconino and Kaibabs nf had there meeetingsfor road closures there was more forest service and game and fish employees then hunters.most people just spoke up after the fact, but they all ready had there minds made up,so it didn't really matter. -
He said if he stumbled onto a mountain lion he would fling an arrow at it as well, so his hunt wasn't really over,I bet if he saw another pig before he got back to his truck he would have knocked up another arrow, I don't know this man he might be the greatest guy out there but, when 123456 and shawn agree with his post I just want to understand why that's all.

Great Buck, You oldest boy looks old enough to smoke one, how many years tell he is old enough, I bet you can't wait.

123456, and Shawn Why do you like this post ,because there are 2 wounded animals ,and he is still hunting ,just asking? Do you think it's ethical to wound 2 animals and keep hunting?I am not judging this man I don't know him, just asking. Why you agree with his post. It's not like he is a newbie to hunting. How many animals have you harvested in Arizona
Seldom Drawn replied to Seldom Drawn's topic in The Campfire
Seldom how many animals have you harvested in Arizona? Somewhere around 50 off the top of my head, I took a break at one time quit killing for 7-8 years then caught the bug again when my son was old enough to hunt I haven't killed more then 7-8 animals in the last 12 years I have passed close to 200-250 animals up with my bow in that time I am just burned out of hunting for myself, i was on 11 hunts last year 2 of which I had tags for, it's time to put the bow down and help others. I have to say this turned out to be a really cool post, you guys are some awesome hunters. Seldom Drawn -
This was a year and a half worth a few years back.I don't really take pics on the ground anymore. Seldom Drawn

How many days or weeks did you spend this year in unit 1 or 27 to base that they are over rated,my buddy that has hunted unit one his whole life said this was the best achery hunt he has ever been on in 35 years of bow hunting, this year, other then Mossback and the Azstrip outfitters who did any good this year in unit 9 or 10,
-
Yes most people up here new about this bull,my buddies dad missed him 2 years ago at 35 yards,I can tell you the 2 brothers from the Verde Valley that guided this hunter are the real deal, they kill big everything doesn't matter what specices they hunt they kill big, I saw on Lances website the pics but these brothers are the real deal.didn't know they hired out to him but they are good. And if you guys think unit one is tapped out for big bulls you might want to stop smoking whatever your on Seldom Drawn

Sure you will see bucks where you are but you are way to high.just my opoinon. The bucks are chasing the girls now big time why not hunt where you can really glass. Seldom Drawn

Have you been to the optometrist? You might have cataracts. I've noticed that my eyesight isn't what it used to be and last year during a checkup the optometrist told me I have them but just not far enough along to warrant surgery. My eyes are going bad ,but I had them set up next to my new 10's and my spotting scope, and they didn't compare to the others Have you looked thru the new 15's? goto sportsmans an look at the 10x42 slc hd, thats the same glass that will be in the 15s, I already have these they are amazing compared to my 15"s,I was able to buy them with last years shed money.

Guessing the odds for residents only works for the guys with bad luck, the lucky ones will always get drawn more often,I have a friend who has drawn elk tags 12 out of 13 years all archery,a family of 4 up here has drawn bull elk tags 5 out of the last 6 years unit 5 and 6 another friend who has drawn 16 archery bull tags in either 7 or 3c in less the 30 years another with over 12 archery bull tags in 5b,6a,7 and 9 in less then 25 years as well as 2 rifle 13b tags and around 6 archery antelope tags, and a bighorn tag as well, some are just plain lucky.so much for looking at the odds for these guys.
