Odds are in favor of it having a 53 block. There r two ways to check for the 53 block . Most have the 53 stamped on the block under the vp 44 ( injection pump ) at bottom of the block where the oil pan bolts to the block . There is a cluster of wires that run across In that general area but usually the 53 jumps right out at you. It can also be stamped on the opposite side next to where the oil dip stick goes in to the block. As far as the vp 44 goes I wouldn't sweat it . The vp has a bad name but IMO lift pump failure is what usually kills the vp . I have a 99 with 189 k that has the original vp in it .

Bc777 I hate to say it but you are right! According to r12-4-302e in the regs many laws were broken. Even Mr Wagner broke the law when he left his tag with the Clay clan. Does anybody know if its possible to find revoked individuals via the net ? Im curious to see if Mr Clay was revoked .

Bc777 I'm sorry but I totally disagree with you! Wagner did not ask them to kill his bull! They all agreed it was a fatal shot and he simply asked them if they found it the next morning to put his tag on it and get the meat to the processor . However when Mr Clay decide to empty his quiver on this bull it should have been his tag placed in the animal and not Wagners . I agree that If it were you or I we would be revoked ! So here is what im thinking! You have a 23 N hunt in Sept so i well shoot your Bull for you like Mr Clay did Mr wagners 😁. Sorry I can't pay you 100k like the dept paid I actually work for my money so it harder to let it go. I think the dept should trade the quail logo on the side of there trucks for a clown logo ! Outdoor writer what do you think you well accomplish by calling your "contacts " at the dept? Do you really think they r going to invite you down for tea and tell you anything different than what you all ready believe?

Sam I believe bc777 is talking about azgfd informants not actuall employees . However if your a warden in the High country and can draw an early elk tag you hit the jack pot! You use the tax payers money to fly around and do your" elk counts"! Then you kill a 400 bull first day of the hunt that "you didn't know was there" !!!! Working for the dept comes with a few perks if you ask me.

By no means am I a fan of the Arizona Game and Fish dept but from what I understand they had around 550 cards get rejected !! That's why it took so long to get results out. In my opinion they need to do away with the credit card system. Go back to all paper if you have the money your in if not your sitting it out . I know I took advantage of the credit card system this year ! I have a daughter that wants nothing more than to harvest a Trophy bull and refuses to kill a cow! To up her odds I put my ex wife and her parents in knowing that if they drew they could sign the tag over to her. If I had to come up with green bills I would never have been able to do that. I'm one of the lucky guys that has had my fair share of early archery tags (: . However if I had 15 bp and they took the bp system away I just might go postal!
