Man, people like being kicked in the balls. ... That's what I was thinking. Already one person with a bruised sack on this forum, will probably be two when the day is over.

Dude, it's not the size of the ship it's the motion in the ocean that counts.

Yes, Just let me read "not drawn" so I can move on with my life.

I haven't gone on a Nov archery hunt but congrats on drawing a tag. On which unit you drew, it's going to be your 1st or 2nd choice. The way the draw works, there are not any elk tags left over after the 1st/2nd pass unless you applied for a limited opportunity hunt. Basically, you cannot draw and elk tag on 3rd or 4th choice unless it's a limited opp hunt. There is always a lot of confusion/misinformation on how the draw works but it's all on the G&F website under "how the draw works".

I just read through the entire 2014-2015 regulations book and can't find my answer. Now that BH Sheep, Oryx and Ibex fall under the 84% Resident/ 10% Outfitter/ 6% Non-Resident regulation how many tags does a hunt have to have before a non-res can draw a tag? I've always put in for deer/antelope/elk hunts that had at least 20 tags available so I knew at least 1 was available to me as a non-resident. I don't believe there are any big horn sheep hunts with 20 tags so can I ever draw?

Man I wish they would find a way around the law that won't let them charge cards up front. This mass confusion and 100 "facts" of what's happening is ridiculous. Of course, if I would have had my card charged I would be a little less bitter about the situation..lol

It will crash as soon as the results are posted, all results will be lost, and I will draw a tag when they re-do the draw next week.......

I don't like you

I'm over 90% to get a Coues tag in NM, and about the same to draw December WT in a southern unit so at least I have something to look forward to.
-
Last year everyone I knew got tags, this year seems like nobody I know has one. Actually, I'm going to have to make new friends just to go with someone on a hunt this year.

Non-Res 6% Cap for BH Sheep, Ibex, Oryx
BMart replied to BMart's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
Awesome, Thank you. -
G&F charges get canceled by B of A every year. Change banks or use a different card. I just dropped B of A for AZSTCU.

Non-Res 6% Cap for BH Sheep, Ibex, Oryx
BMart replied to BMart's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
That looks to be true, there were quite a few applicants on Bowsite.com that were pretty upset they changed the rule after the deadline. They really need to make sure non-residents get 100% of their application fee back if the 6% is per hunt number since that would mean they applied with a chance to draw and now have 0% chance. I didn't have the money this year to apply for sheep but was trying to come up with $5k so I could apply for all the species in the coming years. -
Non-Res 6% Cap for BH Sheep, Ibex, Oryx
BMart replied to BMart's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
Good post, thank you. I wasn't sure if they rounded up or not. Like I said before, I apply where the 6% is at least 1 full tag so I never actually needed to know if they rounded up.
