If you remember the first season with the Coyotes, someone decided it was racist when the team asked the fans to all wear white for a "White Out" it was something they had always done when they were the Winnipeg Jets. Soon it will be illegal to say the names of various colors.

That whole generation are made of different stuff than the rest of us. Congratulations to your grandpa and you're blessed to have a man like that in your life.

I will never set foot near the arctic circle. Neither will I get to spend 20-30 days afield in a year much less a single trip. However, I know what he means about the burning desire to hunt and I too think about it every day. Those three or four days that I do get to go are amazing and keep the smoldering embers just hot enough.

Is quail hunting more of a morning endeavor or do you guys hunt the evenings too? I realize its slot warmer in the evening.

I have it too. Left ear mostly but is starting to creep into the right one too. Its the loudest thing in the room most of the time and sometimes seems worse than other days. Today is one of the bad days. All the technology in this world and yet the doc tells you you just have to live with it. I used to have above average hearing too, now I cant really even tell what direction a sound is coming from. I hate tinnitus.
