I don't use either anymore. I've had a couple of different spotters and a few different pairs of 15's now I just use a pair of 10-32 Zeiss. Clear and bright and I can find deer.

Its time for McCain to move on. And I hope Flake is one and done as well. I was really expecting more from him. Heck you barely know he's even there and then when he does vote on something he just does whatever his big brother John does.

Heard today the the nation's wildlife refuges have been closed due to the gov't shutdown. Is it only a matter of time before the nat'l forests follow suit? Good news is all bets are off on travel management rules. Not that it really changes anything

My daughter has a Jr. deer tag for the hunt starting the 11th thru the 17th. There are some issues that may cause us to be unable to go. Unfortunatly we won't be sure until late Wednesday or early Thursday at the soonest. Would it still be an option to donate a tag on short notice like that? I hate to see it go to waste.

I'll be taking my 14 year old daughter on her first deer hunt on October 11th as well. Shes been shooting a .243 and is probably a better shot than I am. Shes very excited and cant stop talking about the jerky shes going to make and share with her friends.

I have it as well. I like it just fine. Ive put it to use to find waterholes and mark waypoints and it worked flawlessly. I like the blood trailing feature though but agree with the above comments and prefer to just mark the land itself. I guess if a guy wanted to keep a data base of his blood trails or something it would be useful. I do like the arial maps better then google earth. Be sure you save a the maps of the area your going to be hunting prior to heading out in case theres no service.

I have the mulie hunt in 8 this year. My first mulie tag since the 90's. I have no clue how to hunt these elusive creatures, but I'll give it a try.

I use a single pin sight from HHA. Easy to set up and very easy to use plus you get a nice sight picture with only one pin. There are also models with three pins where the bottom pin is your floater. Most every sight company makes one.

If you buy one you'll have to build a giant lock box out of steel and lag bolt that to a tree, add some logging chain and a few good locks. Oh and don't put it on a water hole or to close to a road cause it will get stolen. Also you might think about a trail camera to watch your cooler. Of course your going to need another lock box and some more logging chain......

what does game and fish need to wake up and do something about? Using that logic then G&F should do something about all the rifle hunters who make bad shots on elk too. Fact is that rifle hunters lose just as many if not more.
