    Mini Heeler

So, what defines a “mini” healer? I’ve got a male we got from the shelter, whose a bit smaller than my neighbors, weighs in around 37 lbs depending on hair loss for the day.

    Too Early Draw Results Countdown

Yeah, I know that . Making some fun of the usual impatience of the whole hunting community, myself included. I think the OP and others picked up on that. Josh, you’re so freaking lucky in the draw, you may as well request the time off now. Good luck with it, I’m looking for a poverty elk tag myself this year. Tired of staying home.

IDK Where You Are But it's Pouring Here

Acid snow? Is that now a thing? I saw the news on that tanker wreck. Doesnt it make you feel great knowing that kind of stuff is running down the highways daily in our cities?

    Trap line hunting

Disguise it as nest for laying…. But, is that considered baiting now? And what if you had a trail cam monitoring your chickens? Can you use cams to trap, with bait, since you can’t hunt with cams, or bait ???? Im so confused with all these new regs…..

    Muzzleloader information for beginners

For those of you who are shooting out to 500 yards, the big questions is, how much KE do you have? Is it enough for penetration and proper bullet expansion? I would question shooting a muzzleloader at a bull elk at that range . Ringing a gong is a whole lot different.

    Muzzleloader information for beginners

I've used the Barnes Spitfire TMZ for years, they penetrate well and expand without disintegrating. I had started out with the Powerbelts due to how ez to load and good accuracy, but they fragmented too much, and did not get the penetration I wanted. The Barnes are very accurate as well. I shoot the 250 gr, for everything. I remember someone asked Jim Shockey years ago if he changed bullets depending on game, and he said no, he shoots 250's for everything and he doesnt have to rethink it. Also, most muzzleloader scopes are designed for the 250 gr as far as BDC features, but also with 150 gr loads. Those are not much fun to shoot. I use 100, and practiced with my BDC at the different yardages to know what the changes would be with the lower charge. I have a Knight Disc, that I bought over 25 years ago, and will never change. If you shoot the Pyrodex or Triple 7, remember to clean the barrel every few shots when you go to dial it in, a fouled barrel will definitely throw you off. I bought some Blackhorn to try a couple years ago, but have had such good luck with the Triple 7, and ease of loading, I have never opened it. Now the Blackhorn is $79 per jug.....wth? Each gun will be a little different, when you get one you'll figure out the sweet spot for it with powder and bullet. I picked up a used TC on a whim, and the barrel is so tight, I have to use Spitfire T-EZ on it.

Ex NFL Player Takes an Archery Mt Lion.

How about the use of the word “succumb”? If he had succumbed to exhaustion and dehydration as written, wouldn’t he have been done at that point?

    Crickets ?…

So, after five years, the Cats come out on top. It was a close game, and great to watch. I had my pucker moments at the end but the turnover relaxed my sphincter. Can someone take that freakin billboard on I10 down now?

    First time turkey hunter

Wind affects how far your calls carry, and how well you hear responses to your calls. Wind blowing through the ponderosas can drown out an elk bugle, much less,a gobble. The weather and how fast it warms up will be a factor as well. I think the hens know nesting in snow is futile. I’ve seen both earl and late weekends be the prime time when there were only one hunt. I’d break your week off up over some 3-4 day trips if it were my hunt.

Just bought a Traeger and really?

I use the Amazn tube for cheese every year, and do about 16 lb.s at a time, no problems. I have people asking for it each winter. Everyone loves it and I use nothing but mesquite. Everyone has their own taste, I guess. The trick is, it has to be cold ambient, I find 40 or below optimum. Otherwise, I will put a pie plate of ice above the tube to absorb the heat it creates. I have the biggest tube they make, and let it run overnight till it burns out. I find Monterey or Gouda takes the flavor best. The Traeger itself will get too hot, the cheese will sweat and melt.

    Decoy question

I have had birds come into the fakest looking decoys on the market... when the toms worked up, he doesnt care if she's ugly or a difference race. Worry more about your decoy placement.
  25. You both sound like bitter exes. I’d suggest therapy or move on. Or get on Dr. Phil’s show…… spare the rest of us
