Congrats on a cool bull! That will make a great mount! Just an after thought, skin the quarters before hanging, even when its cold like that. , Its easier when they are warm, and the meat will cool much quicker.

I wouldn't worry about 36 A, You will see more border patrol, sight seers and hunters than any chance for illegos. I camped off the Batamonte road, as did a whole lot of other people, and in 4 years down there , we have never had any issues.

On the south side it it is intact and well marked with signs, but on the north side, buffalo have pretty well leveled it. Look for the posts and wire on the ground. Get the Xmap software for your GPS, shows the border on the display. its nice to have up there.

It will be the best eating game meat you have ever had…You will want to coordinate with Russ Jacoby and the other hunters, although I think some larger herds will be moving out of the park around that time. Cow tag?

Great deal on a great bow, I bought the HTX this year for aWHOLE lot more, it is the SMOOTHEST bow I have ever shot, and crazy consistent for accuracy. I had to go to the no cam due to shoulder problems after surgery, the cams were on my Z7 were killing me. Great deal for somebody!

Read the fine print on the RTIC cooler warranty. 30 days. No deal there. $200 cooler guaranteed for 30 days! Seriously? I just used a Canyon I had purchased, put 80 lbs of ice in for a deer hunt, opened it on day 6 for ice and to cool my deer, had better than 70 lbs of the origional ice and only 1/2" of water in bottom, Oh yea, no hassle life time warranty as well.

I have two pairs of Vasque boots, both in a 10 M. I guess I zoned that I need a EE in boots. One pair is new and never worn, the other pair I put in 1/2 day hunting, and had to change due to the narrowness for my frog feet. The pair that was worn a half day are Gortex lined , the others are not. Unlined went for $69.99 originally, the Gortex were about 20 more, but I dont have the box. $40 per pair. I checked my other Vasques that are almost worn out and I love, I need the EE.

Okay seriously, I do not want to put these back in the closet! Both pairs for $60, or come Friday I am dropping these at Goodwill and there will be some non hunter or bargain picking idgit buying these to go urban hunting.

I am located in Peoria. As for the model, I no longer have the box or big tags for the gortex, but it does say "Balance" on the size tag in the boot. I am not sure if that was the model. Thanks for looking!

Sounds like you guys cleaned house. Enjoy the table fare, it is the best! I just ate my last chuck roast from two years ago, gonna miss that bison meat in the freezer.

quailchaser Congratulations! I had the tag in 2008, a friend had it in 2014. Two very different hunts, but the results were the same, both tagged early in hunt with nice rams. I can give you some info on unit, and with his permission put you in touch with one of the guys who was on the hunt 2 years ago. His info is more timely, but the unit hasnt changed. The number of class 4 rams seen by those guys explains why there are now 2 tags compared to the 1 on my hunt.

You draw a sheep tag, you make it work! I had 21 days penciled in for my hunt in 2008, but was done on the second day of the season. Everything else gets put on the back burner. Congrats on the draw, and I wish you great luck in advance for your hunt.
