Cormorant Hunting
NOTAGS replied to Yuma Outdoorsman's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Naturally foreign countries realize what a threat these are to fish populations, but here in the good ol US, they’re protected…. -
your gonna need that truck to get all of your "stuff" to where you want to shoot...

Free to good home….,

I like red snapper and gold spot better than the grouper, which I love. And yellowtail. Throw in a mako filet …. I guess I just like fish. The OP is much more creative and dedicated to the presentation than I am. I felt good about perfecting air fried fillets …..what is nigiri? Raw fish still?

are you in the witness protection plan, or just shy?

anyone hunting the Killer Squirrels this weekend?
NOTAGS posted a topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
So, not having any big game hunts this year in AZ, I'm resorting to trophy small game hunting. Joining my buddy and his daughter on their annual daddy/daughter squirrel opener. I think they've done this for every year since she was old enough to shoot a rifle till now and she's about 21. Wondering how the numbers were for those of you who got to hit the elk woods this year? I had one climb up my pant leg one year after spine shooting it and it was trying to crawl off with the front legs..... I stepped on its tail to hold it still to shoot it in the head. Bad idea..... Thing spun around and grabbed onto my jeans like it was tree. I yelled, ( screamed?) jumped back which freed the tail and up it came. FAST! I was jumping around on one leg, shaking the other, and hitting at it with the butt of my 22. Finally shook it free and emptied my 10/22 into the devil beast. My buddy was doubled over laughing with tears in his eyes. Traumatic for sure.. -
I may be wrong, but comparing your AK moose to a Shiras would be like comparing a coues to a muley….. you super sized your order

Okay, everyone’s laughing at my learning moment..,,, Any one go out on the archery hunts? It’s pretty obvious when it’s a good squirrel year, they pestered the heck out of me when I had tag on the good years . Teased me to use a blunt when elk were near by, or chattered like crazy when I was stalking close. Never saw them headed out to the truck…. -
so is trigger happy and on meth......

I wouldnt be surprised if it was coming to a human for help. She was probably trigger happy and on meth. I found a lost hound years ago, it had been in the desert for a while, it was a mess. Wanted to come up to us quail hunting but was still skittish.

what about the dog's owner? Hopefully she doesnt breed....
-
my buddy has them... I was not impressed. No comparison. Plus the focus died on a hunt this year, so he was using his 10s the rest of the hunt. Pretty tough on an antelope hunt. There is a reason for the price difference.

the only good news that I saw in the OTC bear info is that ALL kills have to be presented to a GF rep for a physical inspection , so the antis cannot just call in and stop a hunt like they can do for deer right now. Once again, GF left a loophole for the antis .

That’s a feel good thread right there. Nice of you to let the OP know it all worked out really well. -

If you got 10 years out of one Foodsaver, I am amazed. I Kill one every 3-4 years, usually keep a new spare in the garage if I find them on sale. I have not been impressed, looking for a better brand for my next one.
