Price drop. These are regularly $459 but I saw they're on sale now for $275, so save $125 plus the conditioner and shipping charges...

Possibly a flock shooting ? Hit and killed one more bird than tags? Did you contact GF?

If its the early hunt, I wouldnt be too picky. Lots of smaller bucks and does. We found them mostly in the Buckskins, and the chained areas. Bigger bucks tend to be pretty scarce on the early hunt. Late hunt is a whole nuther animal.... you can be picky.

at that price? Ha! Thats a heck of deal for the EL's as is.

I went today around noon. The new has not worn off, it was a circus. Got my exercise walking from the truck to the store, as it’s jammed. You need a map to get around, it’s huge and full. I’ll buy online and have it shipped to me from here out.

Anything I should know before buying a trager?
NOTAGS replied to Crazymonkey's topic in The Campfire
"I believe that the guys that started Traeger sold the company and started Louisiana grills." Actually, the Traeger's sold out to an investment company. They then went to work with Dansons Inc, which makes both Pit Boss and Louisiana Grills. Dansons is based in Scottsdale, but all of their grills come from overseas as well. -

The new Scheels is supposedly a Yoder dealer. You ( and I) can hopefully put our hands one one after they open this weekend. I’m going to wait a few weeks for the initial craze to hopefully die off. Traeger used to be a great unit, but, since they sold and the new investors went to mass marketing and production, their quality has tanked. I sell them, and have a hard time recommending them now due to my own experience with their cutting corners -

I picked up a Pro 22 ( my third, don’t ask) . I’ve had nothing but problems with the temp control. Traegers replaced the temp probe, controller, and then send a whole new fire box which is essentially the whole grilling part. It still swings to 455 when set at 350, I don’t trust it to leave it alone to cook which is one of the big attractions of pellet grills for me. I think that their Chinese factories quality control went down hill. The other two I’ve had worked spot on, I still have one of them and never get more than a 15 degree swing up or down from set temp. I have not used a Pitboss, but they are a lot of grill for the money. I’m wishing now I had gone with one. -
4b. It was like driving and hunting in the fog. It actually migrated into Heber one night, my house smelled like smoke for the next two days. I’m sure 4a was just as bad .

Satellite bulls I was seeing were pretty darn impressive… herd bulls were beasts. Bugling was done by 6:30-7, some mornings almost zero where we were. smoke from the Valentine fire was hideous, I think I have emphysema from hunting in it. My gear still smells like smoke.

Totally different. You move out of state, you are no longer a resident, and ended your 25 year residency requirement

There’s one born every day . Looks like a dump run to me, but, hey, what do I know? Some CA / West coast hipster may feel that’s the piece de resistance for their yard feng shui…. I was amazed at what rusted inoperable farm equipment sold for for “ yard art”… GLWS. You sell it , I may start digging around..,, -
As usual ,crooked iPhone photo. Griddle fried grouper w mocajete ground guac, hit with lime juice and Tabasco. Fat man down…,

The irony of this is, everyone balks at having a Dr. do a digital exam. I had a girlfriend who did the Shazam at the right moment pretty regularly and I never complained, lol. My annual with my urologist is tomorrow , most PCs on todays plans skip both the PSA test and the digital due to insurance BS. The extra copay once a year is worth it to me as I have three friends my age who were diagnosed, and had to have prostectomies. I’ll take the probing over what they went through.

Dang , my camera man must have had a few beers, he’s outta focus on the tri tip, lol..

Not for tonite, but going to freeze for elk hunt.

Two game saws, one the Gerber , other an older but very functional Knapp. One Old Timer gut hook knife. Older(as in good quality) Cabelas Fanny pack w suspenders. Thinking a new youth hunter could put them to use. In Peoria, but work out to Surprise. Prefer to give all together rather individually.

Said no one. I said most guys I saw checking cams were driving right up to the tank, including guys in trucks. No one seemed to want to walk to remote water sources, those were the ones I saw no cameras on. Walking in, you have a pretty good chance of seeing wildlife, driving in, not so much. Even now, I'll see vehicles as close to the water as they can get, and maybe get out and walk around it.

Hunter opportunity? LOL.
