I for one, am not the least bit surprised to see that Obama told everyone "just what they wanted to hear" and then turned around and did what he wanted. Hope those who didn't listen the first time pay attention now.

On a similar but different aspect of illegal immigration, last Monday, the news said that the E-verify law would expire by the end of the week. Of course, it never made the news again. Does anyone know if it was voted back in or did they quietly let it die?

Was there about noon buying reloading supplies and when I started to leave, saw a white GMC Sierra extend cab with a CouesWhitetail.com sticker, a Mathews, and another (?) sticker in the parking lot. I've seen a few in the Safford are over the years, but this is the first somewhere else. Hope ya got what you were needing...

I'm guessing but the only two groups that would benefit from this trial and an unfavorable (to Barnett) would be the drug/illegal smugglers and/or one of many "human rights" groups who are very pro illegal. It would be interesting to see who is picking up the tab. Hermanos Direchos, ACLU come to mind. Haven't heard if its over but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The bill, at least what was provided, doesn't mention that a commission candidate have any knowledge of game management, just be a 10 yr resident, a voter, and having had a hunting and/or fishing license for the past 5 years. I tend to agree with the idea that this needs some re-wording.

Its always good to have "good press" opportunities. Local stations will run the story but since their customers are our neighbors (and they most likely already know about this) it really doesn't make much of an impact on Congress. But...if that pile of trash was found sitting on the steps to the Lincoln memorial or lying around the reflection pool, bet there would be lots of discussion on the immigration issue. After all, that is the cause of the problem. FWIW.

I don't think you'll regret getting them. You will be amazed at what you can look at now. I bought a pair of 10x50 Steiners 20+ yrs ago. They are the military design. My only complaint is that they are heavy around the neck and there is no tripod adapter. I've messed around and built one myself, but it could be better. I would think the Predator model would have a tripod mount similar to the Swaro's. FWIW-I finally did buy the Swaro 15's and can't get over how much I probably didn't see over the years.

Just came from Sportsman's Warehouse where I bought $200 worth of reloading supplies. Would have bought more, but the shelves were almost bare. I was going to give Christmas purchases the credit for that, but I really think that it is the Pre-Obama surge that cleared it out. Actions speak louder than words so...If he's gonna talk the talk, he'd better walk the walk.

Using this crisis to promote their agenda is what I'm afraid of. Get a big bailout bill going through Congress and attach "a couple of amendments to it" and wham!!! gun control, ammo tax, etc. Only one who will be yelling foul will be the NRA because a big majority of Americans are REALLY short sighted. I heard a term the other day that seemed to sum up our economic mess, "economic affirmative action". Sound like "spread the wealth"? Did to me too, but with a more ominous tone.

She's obviously not a good economist, left Az Billions in debt (and they criticize Bush's liberal spending). So she might as well try something else. Maybe she can find her nitch in life.
