I was there about 2 weekends ago , It is getting more popular. Just like Fossil Creek area the more people that let the secret out the more trashed your secret area gets trashed . Same with " honey holes ". We did good and for 8 guys we only took about 20 fish for a fish fry caught so many that we only took some before heading back to camp at 4 , saw 2 others down there that had a full stringer of cats maybe around 50 or so , some really good ones and some that were only 6-8 ". To each their own I guess.

There is plenty of time to get out and hit the hills. All the posts I have ever seen are Check google earth check maps and the ground check them. If after all of that nothing turns up start over and try again .

Are there elk in 21 ? Yes there are ! Just have to know where to look and put the miles on the boots.

Happened to me a few years ago. used the same card on 2 different apps and it showed as one hit for one tag. After results were officially out I had another charge for another tag. My buddy and I both ended up hunting that year. Dont over think it , you still get to go hunting !

Spotting scope is like new only took it out a couple of times . No scratches or dings. Only thing I can find is the bag Vortex sends with it the zipper broke where it opens up to mount on a tripod . Price 1300 firm. Cant go much lower . Need to sell, Have twins coming.

Check with the day tours during the summer if you have a canoe/kayak they will take you as far up as you want for a small fee for a small fee not more than 50 dollars. and you can float down camp along the way. Also there are a few walk in spots below the ferry that produce also. There is Cathedral Wash a short 45 min hike and then Jackass a longer hike but well worth it. Fish numbers are low right now nowhere near where they were back in 2011 but there are still monsters to be caught.

A friend and I added a small piece of 1/4 rod welded to the slide for the gate right behind the lock so that they cant lift the gate on the trap more than 1" . Otherwise the lock can spin and they can lift the whole thing for a clean get away. Took some trial and error but figured it out pretty quick.

Yes there is supposed to be at the least the trapper id number . Yes a lot of Trappers put them where they can check them with binos so they dont leave tracks and take a chance of losing a trap .

So I was out hunting this past week in a central unit . I decided I might try a area that according to all maps you can use but not with a motorized vehicle. I had been scouting this area for the better part of 2 months and knew it had a good deer in it. I decided instead of hiking in opening morning I would go in and set up a camp on horse back and did so the day before the opener. Opening morning came I got to my glasssing spot early and as I started glassing here comes a side by side up over the hill on a two track that was marked non-motorized and had a poor barricade in place a few days before. ( On the way out the barricade had been moved and driven right through )Now I don't much care about that but I sit there and watch this hunter glass in our direction then decide he is going to hike up above us and chase a deer. This is the part that kind of upsets me , he had good bino's and a spotting scope there was no way he couldn't have seen us. He ended up gettimg a decent buck and driving out like it was just on his check list for the day. Later during the hunt I decided to try another area , I found a good spot and start glassing . About 20 min in I glass another set of hunters and decide to move off so they could have the spot they had obviously they had been there a while. I guess the question is how far would you go knowing there was another hunter in the area? Would you stay and hunt directly around them or move off and try something else? Would you do whatever it took to fill your tag even if it meant breaking the law? I'm beginning to think that people aren't out there for the hunt anymore its all about the trophy and who has the better equipment . I hiked and ended up with a forkie on the 4th day of the hunt. Glassed up a few deer and even watched a loin and her cub stalk a few does .Just glad I can get out and be in and enjoy gods country .

I think with big glass and so many looking for the long shots too many hunters think they own every square mile. If I had been in that group and knew a hunter was between me and a buck bedded I would have been headed back to the truck and moving on. I do at least appreciate that they did not shoot over me as it has happened way too many times in the past... This is exactly the problem in my opinion. People now days want to brag about how far their kill shot was. This other hunter was shooting around 600 yards if not more. 6 misses , I am willing to bet that the final shot was a lot closer than that . But if it takes 7 to bring down a deer get closer, its obvious you havent been practicing. Spots can me shared but if you can see the other hunter with the naked eye which he could it wasnt like i was hiding from him. That is a sign to move on. I will agree he hiked hard from his SXS to where he got the buck . But I am willing to bet had he had to hike the whole way in he wouldnt even have gone in there.

He didnt have a plate on the side by side. I believe in karma though.

I am about character , he has enough of it and I think I have him figured out but I have had them pull disappearing acts before. I haven't seen much bigger in the area but the plan is to go deeper into the area and see what it holds. As far as seeing a plan come together it is awesome when it does.

Hard to tell but is a 3x4 and wider than the picture shows. Saw him in velvet 2 weeks ago but is hard horned now . Was within 100 yds of him today.

It can be a frustrating hunt . My avatar is one I got from 21 two years ago . I scouted for a few weeks prior to the hunt and found a few mulies but not a single wt until I found him the day before the hunt . Found him about 500 yards from the day before and the hunt was over before noon.

Pulled a 6A October tag , Hope that I will be able to hunt this year because I have 2 boys that might make their debut into this world about that time.

They are wasting time and money , have heard they released pike minnow in the verde but dont even monitor them . What good are they doing by doing this ?

I have a 1990 honda quad for sale. it i needs some work. Needs a seat cover and new ignition . I got it off a buddy who was in a tight spot so I dont know what needs to be done other than the seat cover and ignition, I will post pictures later when I can get them up. As far as the price I am asking 700.
