Peg, congratulations!!! Amelia has asked me about a dozen times if you ever went on that hunt and shot a turkey. You would be shocked to see how tall she is now!!! Cannot wait to show her the pictures later today. That bird is beautiful! GREAT pictures!!! I especially like the one with you and the turkeys (plural, of course!). I call bogus. I totaled our van with eight people inside on a deer near Gila Bend back in 2010. Mulie doe stepped out of the median at 11:45 pm and stepped right into my lane. That is one less deer, unfortunately. All were safe inside the van. I call bogus on that statistic!!!

Thanks guys, spent the evening with the family and had a great time with the kids and wife. We ate at In-and-Out because I know everyone will eat there. Beats a fancy sit down restaurant any day of the week, as long as I am with the family!

Congratulations! Hoping to take my first turkey this weekend. Sounds like you guys had a really awesome time, birds gobbling and chances to fill tags. Cannot ask for more! And at least a little precipitation fell, that may help delay major fire seasons a TINY bit more! I like the snow picture, those flakes look like baseballs!!!

Hit Woods Canyon on Friday before the major winds hit. Was a BLAST! When the small winds came through, almost everyone packed up and left immediately. It felt like there were only two or three boats on the lake by midday. Missed the storm and snow, fortunately.

Devil Down River, headed up this Friday to Unit 1 also. Never taken a turkey. If you are interested, give me a call and maybe we can hook up and work some birds together. My buddies bailed out on me this past weekend for the upcoming hunt.

With the results coming out today, someone will need an inexpensive smoker for all of that game meat, and some tile for........uhhhhmmmm.........to put the smoker on top of! Yeah, so buy the smoker and the tile!!!

The smoker is electric. Drop wet chunks of whatever wood you want in and the electric coil cooks and smokes.
