Strange in Unit 22N- Your thoughts??

I would agree that they look sawed off and weathered. I have found quite a few of those myself. Hard to imagine a valid reason to do this, but there could be one I have not thought of. -
AZGFD TAG & LICENSE FEES
My Rights As An American replied to Justin Stahl's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
IMHO, I am impressed that AGF actually listened to the feedback from the field and scrapped the "premium hunts" structure. Not sure people were convinced by the plan that these would be premium hunts. As for the current plan, the one that I saw was actually quite reasonable with some really nice highlights including the youth hunt license price drop. I am still quite a few years away from taking advantage of that, but I sure do appreciate the long-term thinking associated with establishing a strong base of hunters for the future. I think that over time, the old prices were simply increasing across the board too much for many families to participate in all the hunts. Dropping the youth fees sure goes a long way to balancing that back out to keep the interest with the youth. Kudos to AGF for listening to the field and responding appropriately, IMHO. It may never be the perfect fee structure for everyone, but this sure goes a long way to balancing things out for everyone! -
I like the second half of July on the Kenai, when fishing upriver from Soldotna. The big plug of reds can be strong and steady near the Russian River confluence and upstream. The silvers begin showing up in small numbers along the MatSu rivers. And every other year, the pinks and chum are also running strong at this time. The kings, which are almost non-existant anymore, are usually done by this time, though. Late June early July for kings in the rivers. LOTS of options!!!

If you believe in it, please say a prayer for those firefighters lost and their families, as well as those firefighters still working these fires. Do not forget those who have lost their homes. -
Left Tucson at 3 pm at about 110 degrees. My family called at 6 and said it rained hard briefly and the temp was 71. Dang, just missed it! Glad we are getting some, need it EVERYWHERE!!!!!

My best friend is on his way into the fire. Think he got there an hour ago or so. REALLY horrific to lose anyone, but 19 is shocking.

I have a Badlands backpack, forget the specific name, but it is the silent archery model with no main zipper on the main pouch, but a folding cinch-down close. Originally, was over $150. Served me well but moved to a different pack. $65 Three professionally tanned cow elk hides in perfect condition from the tannery. These are all from elk I shot over the years and were properly stored in my office, rolled up out of the light. They are quite large and in great shape. These were quite expensive to have done professionally. $175 each OR BEST OFFER Finally, I have a professionally tanned Arizona fox hide. This one is in a little rougher shape but still good condition and makes an awesome, soft display with lots of great natural color! $50 Live near BassPro, work in downtown Phoenix. -
Wow, that place was an icon/eyesore since the first time I went up there in 1988 as a kid. I would point that place out to everyone in the car everytime I drove by there.

Ok, last hide has two small bare spots which I have placed quarters into to show how small they are. These are from the tannery I simply did not remember that they were there after I put them back away. Since it has these two bare spots, I will sell this one for $100 or $75 and a bulk pack (500 or 525 round) of 22lr. Thanks! Hope someone could use this! -

Badlands pack and one more elk hide SPF. One more elk hide and the fox hide left! If not sold, I will make a loin cloth out of the fox hide (softer fur of course) and post pictures of me in it! that is incentive right there to buy the last two hides, so I DO NOT get that horrible idea to post pics of me in a loin cloth!!! -
Wow, how cool is that! There has to be a historical value for this thing with the inside in that condition!!!

Bump. Let's keep the ball rolling and get some offers! The Badlands was a great day pack for me! Very quiet, cinch-top close main pouch. The elk hides are excellent! Would make wonderful projects (blanket, floor rug, wall hanging, draped over a chair, etc). -

How much to have it installed? -
Unless they are using something like a hammermill, it would be difficult to grind the bean itself based on how hard it is. I used a coffee grinder one time and sifted out the results, but that took a long time and ended up killing the grinder. (killed another grinder on jerky trying to make jerky chaw!) The beans and quite a bit of the stringy part of the pod were removed. The grind was fun but hard work for a little flour.

Homemade Pumpkin Zucchini Chocolate Chip Bread
My Rights As An American posted a topic in Cooking Wild Foods
Ok, hopefully I will get some pics up later. Last year, after pumpkin picking at a farm, we composted our pumpkins in the backyard. In January, I broke up and cleaned up the garden, spreading out the compost. In February, I planted the garden and watered thoroughly. Within a few weeks, the composted pumpkin seeds started growing like wildfire!!! I had at least 50 plants growing, so I thinned it out to about 20 knowing the heat would eventually kill them in Mesa. Well, that is what I get for thinking! Pumpkin plants overtook my garden and are now at least three times the size of the original garden and still growing QUICKLY! They have climbed up and over my orange tree. They have overtaken some of the kids toys and about 1/4 of the backyard play area. On Father's Day, my kids and I harvested a light orange/green 19.5 pound pumpkin, a 10 pound white pumpkin and a 5 pound green pumpkin. We still have at least 8 more growing that I can see. Two of the pumpkins still growing will probably exceed 20 pounds, with many in the 10-20 pound range when done. ALL different shades, colors, textures, mixes of green and orange. They are quite incredible. Same day I baked up the white pumpkin and made 2.5 dozen pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and 2 large loaves of pumpkin zucchini chocolate chip bread. Turned out AMAZING! Original recipe online was for pumpkin bread, but I had quite a bit of frozen shredded zucchini and chocolate chips, why not try something wacky! Turned out like gingerbread the first night after it cooled, but the next day after it spent the night in the fridge, it ended up like a dessert!!!!!!!!! Wife says I will make a good wife to someone some day. Still worried about that comment! Also, since I was at it on Father's Day, grilled up 10 pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breast using Lawry's and crock-potted 5 more pounds for shredded chicken. BUSY and FUN day with the kids helping! Taste tests only to those who stop by the house! No, I do not ship. No, I will not come be your wife, that is just creepy. And stop even thinking that thought!
