Gas Pipeline in 36C
My Rights As An American replied to Mike S's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Wow, was not aware. Need to get out the topos to see which ranches this impacts and how badly. Could be a good thing in the long run by removing swaths of mesquites and returning it to grasses, but not sure yet. -

My Rights As An American replied to Don Martin's topic in Javelina
I got 15.5 pounds of sausage from my javelina last night (50 nice sized brats!), all super clean meat. I will not add anything that is pretty much not perfect meat. Keeps the quality exceptional, but the yield is a little less. My January javelina yielded 26 pounds of sausage and 76 brats, a few smaller ones but overall average sized brats. -
I was blessed and honored to have picked up a rifle javelina tag and share the hunt with my 6 year old daughter, my step father-in-law and TJ from this site. I have never hunted javelina with a rifle, just a bow, and have been lucky to have taken quite a few over the years. Took my daughter and step-father-in-law down for a hunt down outside Tucson on Friday afternoon. After a short chat with a nice Game and Fish officer, TJ and I ran out to a spot that was just up a "little" hill according to me, the hill from heck according to TJ who was already tired from a tough hunt that morning. Saw some pre-rain sign but no animals. When we got back, TJ had found a whitetail shed earlier in the day which he gave to my daughter, who now has a lifelong friend!!! Next morning saw us in an area that TJ had seen some javelina the day before and I was very familiar with from years of hunting the unit. After glassing for a while, we tried to move to the back canyon around 10 am when some less than courteous "lion hunter" in shorts rudely cut us off. After exchanging some words about courtesy, he clearly did not get it and the conversation quickly became confrontational. Jerk had no respect, courtesy or class. Really the worst person I may have come across in all of my years hunting!!! Anyway, we walked another way around the mountain into a different canyon but found nothing. Daughter did GREAT!!!! On our way back we almost stepped on a small king snake and we took the opportunity to educate my daughter the differences and she just had a blast! Back at camp, I had some friends from town visit us for lunch. My 6-year old schooled the 14 year old twins and their grandma in checkers and Candyland. FUN to watch!!! That evening, TJ and I went out by ourselves. TJ glassed, I walked a mountainside. Finally, after hiking over a mile through rough terrain, I decided to glass where I had come from one last time and found four javelina coming up towards me, but still 500 yards away and the day coming to an end quickly. I decided to cut them off, but the moment I got off the mountain, the wind shifted right to them. They were 200 yards from TJ but he had no chance of seeing them from his position. Kicked them up three times and finally landed a bad round into the back half. I debated going back to get my daughter to teach her tracking but was curious, the terrain was steep, it was cold and dark. TJ and I tracked a very poor blood trail by following the tracks and found the javelina about 50 yards later. Black out in thick four foot tall weeds, the javelina bedded down. I almost stepped on it and it scared the heck out of me as it looked like it was going to lunge at me and tear me apart! Ended up dying only about 100 yards from the truck!!! Boar, about 42-43 pounds, pretty nice. Food was great, camp was great, all-in-all, GREAT time was had by all!!! Daughter had a TERRIFIC TIME, was extremly courteous to all. Step-father-in-law may now be hooked on coming with me more often. I cannot speak for TJ, but it appeared as though he had a great time also. Cannot say enough about what I great time I had with all. I was very proud of my daughter and how well she did with everything!!!!!!! Special thanks to TJ for all of his friendship, knowledge, patience, help and anything I missed! Glad to share in new memories made with him! Especially after helping me with my elk hunt, now I feel like I offered something in return! Thanks for reading, did not take pictures (DUMMY!!!!!!!) except on the way out I grabbed the head and skin to take a quick picture with my daughter.

My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in Javelina
Just finished making brats, four hours from starting deboning to completely wrapped and cleaned. Total was 8.5 pounds clean javelina meat and 7 pounds excellent pork cuts. This made 50 large brats total. TJ, brats coming your way buddy!!! -
How did you process your pig?
My Rights As An American replied to MULEPACKHUNTER's topic in Javelina
This year, I was lucky enough to harvest two. The first I caught running away from the waterhole as I was driving to my hunting area. 200 yards later I caught up on foot. Carried it back whole because I left my pack at the truck. The second was spotted off a mountain 200 yards from the truck. It died 100 yards away. Another carry whole to truck. Both gutted then skinned and cleaned before hanging for 5 days. Just finished second batch of javelina brats! Four hours from start to finish!!! -
Where you going in 36c? Will be there myself with another coueswhitetailer.

Ok, how about a trade for 2 boxes of 22lr? At the current going "market" rate, that should be about $4,000!!! Very nice quad! Wish I could afford it, but all I can afford is a free bump for you. Good luck. -
Nice of you! Taking my 6 year old daughter next weekend on her first ever big game hunt for javelina for me and rabbits for her, but I will be west of Tucson. Just shot our 22 on Sunday to sight in for her. Good luck and if nobody takes it maybe I will swing to east Tucson and trade you something. Good thing for you to do!!!

Another Junk overpriced AR. Probably one of those who stand in line @ SW just to rape someone and drive the prices up further and further. Amanda, how about a restriction on new people having a minimum of at least 25 posts before being able to put something up for sale, you must be the man with 573 post Coming from the person whose 8th post was this? Get over yourself. Still waiting to hear from the seller. Good luck.

Wowser, that was quick! Congrats to both parties!

Nice looking trailer and a good price. I need to sell mine and upgrade to bunk beds with the larger family. Good luck, and it looks like it is in great condition from the pictures!

Maybe you can tell us a little bit about yourself. I see that you joined the site this morning at 3:37 am. Twelve minutes to post three guns for sale, must be a record for a new member!!! Good luck with the sale, but like I said earlier, you are dealing with very educated cwt members who know their stuff about guns. Posting pictures, details of gun conditions, prices, where you are located, how members can see them in person, etc. may help expedite your sale. -
Ah, another brand new member who joined 16 minutes ago! Welcome to this site!

I definitely feel more comfortable dealing with a cwt member than someone from other classified websites or hunting/fishing sites. I have met quite a few great people through this site because of buying or selling something.

Very nice gun! What are you considernig trading for this? Is it an item that you no longer have any need/bond with? Will you use this gun? I think it might be tough to resell for $6-800 on an open market, but maybe to a specialized shooter looking for this gun it could be worth that. However, I am NOT an expert on gun values. -

Welcome to the board. As a courtesy, you should probably post the prices you are looking to get for these. Are you in Arizona with that (619) cell number? What do you mean on "information how to buy"? Maybe more information for everyone would help sell the guns, and pictures really help even more! Good luck. -
Please sign me up! I am very interested in coming!!! Thanks, happy to pay $2!

Savage 110 7mm Remington Magnum
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in Classified Ads
SPF, thanks! -
I have a Savage 110 in 7mm Remington Magnum, with trigger job and professionally installed scope mount. Gun has some scratches on the wood stock but is an excellent shooter. Blued barrel. The Savage 110 can be modified to fire other calibers. I am not an expert on this, but that is what I have been told. As I understand, it can easily be converted to .338 wsm, but again, not an expert on this!!! Looking for $325.

Tucked up means they are still outside. Although I firmly believe that they go underground and play cards by the fire when I am out hunting them, they are still somewhere outside and the thicker and nastier the terrain, the more likely you will find them. Find less windy areas and work around them, trying to cut fresh sign. Also, they will most likely still feed in the sunny slopes. You aren't going to shoot one from home most likely, so give it a shot!

Oh, I thought that was the case. Seemed funny to me for some reason! Nice javelina and hope it eats well!!!

2013 Javelina--Bratwurst!
My Rights As An American replied to My Rights As An American's topic in Javelina
Cooked up the extra little patty of meat in the grinder that was not stuffed. HOLY COW!!! If the brats taste this good, I will never be turning my nose to javelina meat again!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Could not hunt until January 5 this year, but that does not seem to have been a problem! Well, after hiking up a mountain, I took a short break to catch my breath. Looking down at the bottom right where I came from was a herd of 6 javelina. JERKS! On my way to my next hunting spot, two javelina jumped across the dirt road and took off. I followed with bow and binos, no backpack. Fifteen minutes later I was into them again but they busted me moving in. After about 5 minutes of "I see you", "Uh, no you don't" , "Uh, yes I do", "No you don't" this javelina stepped out and I let a 125 grain thunderhead fly. The damage was crazy but I lost no meat! This javelina weighed about 40-45 pounds and was pretty heavy to carry back to the truck where all of my gutting stuff was. From live to wrapped in a game bag was less than one hour, nice and easy! Anyway, butchered it last night and made 20 pounds of bratwurst. First time ever making brats, so I will have to see how it goes.

Ok, have to ask the stupid question, but are you arrows backwards in your quiver? Are the fletchings and nocks in the foam and the broadheads out in the open? Pics seem to show that is the case. Nice job on the pig!!!
