So is this really a donation? Curious if my tax guy sees it that way. I just got an email from my archery shop advertising a hunt in texas that is 100% tax deductible due to Mathews offering the hunt on behalf of one of their charities. Makes saying yes to spending money much easier when it is deductible!

Wac em' pro staffer here. Love their heads. Fly like missiles out to great distances with fantastic penetration and easily changeable blades. From the factory, I think you will notice that they are one of the sharpest broad heads out there. I have taken a bunch of animals with Wac ems' and have been very impressed with my results. I shoot the standard 3 blade 100 gr triton. They are spot on field point to broad head point of impact.

*Monster Goat in the Dirt* 2014 Antelope Hunt

81" left horn. if matched somewhere around 185-190" Stud buck! -
If I were you, I would hope that you did not get put in. If you have a credit card statement to prove you put in, but their system has no record, I see a tag in your future. I believe it happened either last year or the year before to a person or two.

Shuttle T makes great broad heads. If you want another option, try out Wac ems'. They are very similar to shuttle T, and have proven to be deadly.

mechanical broadheads success and failures
HuntHarder replied to creed_az_88's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Why do some of you use different heads for different animals? I see a lot of people that use fixed for Elk and mechanicals for everything else. If your fixed blade kills elk, it will surely kill smaller game. I guess I just do not understand the thought process of constantly switching broad heads. If you think your expandables are not strong enough for elk, why have confidence in them for smaller game? There are lots of fixed blade broadheads that fly like missiles out to great distances. I shoot fixed blade broad heads because I found one that works and has never let me down. Love em'!! I think 90% of expandables will get the job done as well though, just IMO less moving parts = less things to worry about. K.I.S.S. -
WIMP!! J/k I started wearing the monster fanny by badlands over 3 years ago. Best thing I have done. It is very easy to head back to the truck/camp and grab a nice frame once the animal has been shot. No need IMO to carry all the extra bulk and size unless you are planning on staying in for a while.

This thing should be gone at this price. Have you listed on craigslist yet? If not, do it. I sold my old yota in less than an hour. Lots of people are looking for older 4x4 Toyota's.

creed_az_88 lets see the video of a well placed shot and not a dead animal. -
$500 +/- Resale on used bows really stinks. Bow is $800-900 new and quiver is around 130$

BOWTECH Carbon Knight or Carbon Rose???
HuntHarder replied to rossislider's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
Good comment Maverick..... Keep drinking the Kool-Aid. Just answer the guy's question and do not say people who buy tickets are waisting their money. This is not a Hoyt vs. Bowtech Debate. Back to original question: I say go with the Knight, good bow and many people would like to own one. -
check gunbroker. Seems to be only place I can find it regularly. Price is about 20% higher than normal, but it is in stock.

Acceptable COAL tolerances?
HuntHarder replied to HuntHarder's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Well I got my comparator, and checked my previously loaded rounds. I must have a consistent arm throw. Over 86 rounds, My deviation was .002. With about 70 being all the same. I do not know if .002 will really make a difference, but I am going to use those to practice with first, and use the ones that were all the same for hunting. Here is another question for you guys. I ordered my new turret for my new load, and was curious what an acceptable deviation in Muzzle velocity was. Thru 16 rounds, I had an extreme spread of 26 fps and most were within 13fps of each other. -
So I am fairly new to reloading, and I am curious as to what most think are acceptable COAL to maintain good accuracy. I have noticed that even measuring berger bullets, I can get anywhere from .000-.008 difference in overall length. So I did a little research online and found a Hornady comparator. Do any of you use a comparator to achieve optimal accuracy? Most people say that measuring COAL is not near accurate enough and the use of comparator is needed to achieve accuracy. What are some of you more experienced reloaders using?

Mulholland is a great guy. When I was younger, my parents did all the stonework at his house. Nothing but great things to say about him, and I even got some autographs from him. Other athletes with money have not been so kind to the subs....

Acceptable COAL tolerances?
HuntHarder replied to HuntHarder's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Thanks for all the info guys. Kind of what I was thinking most would say, but I recently started shooting longer range and notice that my reloading needs to be top notch in order to achieve my desired results. So I use RCBS full length dies, and have a question regarding them. I set my seating depth, and have achieved accuracy to my standards without using a comparator ( current set is right at .50 MOA). Do most of you guys check your ogive measurement, then adjust your seating die every round? Seems like this is going to really lengthen my reloading time if this is the case. Is the VLD seating stem a new stem I can replace the RCBS one with that came with my seating die? I seated my bullets to my maximum magazine length, and my gun seems to love them. Just like most said, I was kinda going nutty doing a COAL measurement after I had loaded 50 rounds. My gun shoots great, but in the back of my mind, I know that my COAL is or can be .008 different than the previous round I just shot. I might be over thinking this.... In the past, my reloading has consisted of less than an inch @ 100, I am good with that. Now that I am into this long range stuff, I think I am over-thinking it.. Thanks guys, -
Have you checked the elements? Turn off power to the water heater, take the wires off of the element screws and check for continuity on each element.

Recent Jaguar Pics and other critters down south
HuntHarder replied to arizonaelkhunter's topic in The Campfire
The jaguar looks tiny compared to both the lion and bear. Is it a baby? or is it in a crouched position? Good job getting pics.
