You can only do it once, so make sure that's the friend you want to help!

Great idea! Sometimes circumstances arise where this can benefit us. I'm not worried about people abusing it. You can only do it once. If you get your daughter a great tag, good on you.

When I was younger and had a Toyota Tacoma, I blew my head gasket twice. Just as you described, the thermostat stuck on the first time and never showed overheating until it was too late. I had a local shop mill the head, and replace all the gaskets, I think it set me back $1900.00. On the second one, I decided to put in a new/used motor, and it was about the same price, maybe slightly more. There were recalls on the early Tacoma's regarding their head gaskets being defective, but mine was not one of them.

.270 wsm and 140 accubonds
HuntHarder replied to CraigK's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I too am interested in some powders for my 270wsm flinging the 140's. Magpro has caught my eye because of the velocity produced, as well as Nosler data indicating it being their most accurate powder tested with a 140 AB. Have any of you guys shot Magpro to determine how temperature sensitive it is? I usually stick to Hodgdon's "extreme" line of powders to minimize fps variation here in Az. Does anyone have any experience with Magpro? -

You did nothing wrong! That is a stud ram, and a great advertisement for your outfit. Congrats to all involved! -

Same deal with my Ram 2500. The adapter sleeve is very loose fitting. Every bump, you can feel and hear the play. I remove the sleeve if I am not towing.

I have had mine since December, and so far, I am pretty impressed. I sold my Leica CRF 1200 and do not feel like I am giving anything up. The optics are not quite as nice, but the ranging is far superior. The scan mode is insanely fast, and the readouts have been beyond 2500 yards. The optics are the only negative so far, but they are still better than most rangefinders. The glass is very crisp and clear, just has a slight greenish/ blue hue to it.

Looking to buy a quality pack 3000ci or bigger
HuntHarder replied to SpotNStalk's topic in Classified Ads
Do yourself a favor and take a hard look at Kifaru packs. Lifetime warranty, made in the USA and lots of options on bags. Check Rokslide.com classifieds for deals on used frames and bags. -
Yeah, 250 sounds pretty slow imo. It will get the job done, but I think the happy zone for speed is 270-290 fps. I am currently flinging VAP's weighing 450ish, ( cant remember exact) at 280. This has produced some serious pass thru's. Almost a negative, because I have lost 2 arrows that blew thru the vitals, and skipped so far I could not find them. haha. Thats the only negative I have been able to come up with since shooting Micro's.

Geez, guy has some thin skin. Lots of dishing, but couldn't take it. If he really is looking into getting an attorney, he has sunken to an all-time low. I guess have a couple of midget sons has finally taken it's toll on the old fart.

They will warranty it. With their carbon frames, it is not "if" it will crack, it is "when" will it crack. They have gotten better over the years, but they still crack. Contact them, and they should make it right.

Online costco price includes delivery on most every safe you purchase. Garage drop. I used to sale safes, and each company will sell you on why their safe is better than the other guys'. Fort knox builds some of the heavier safes, but they also are heavy on your wallet. The Browning safe is made by prosteel, and they are a quality safe. IMO all the higher end safes (prosteel, liberty, AMSEC,fort knox, heritage) are quality safes and it really comes down who has the better deal at the time you are ready to purchase.

Congrats Cazador! I love that you drew with 5 points. That is the beauty of Arizona's draw system. 80% of the tags drawn are pure luck!

The new Christenson Arms rifles are Top Notch. I think the Ridgeline is going to be a big hit. Lots of gun for $2k. Good luck in your search.

This warm weather has my trigger finger getting itchy! Have any of you guys out fishing, started to see any carp on the surface yet? I think it is a little bit early, but 90* this early in February is rare and I am hoping it is kick starting the carp activity.

Pretty sure Sdrhunter dropped the mic after posting that email. Pretty hard for the Big bo' to argue any other point. Go find another stud somewhere else. I am sure pronghorn guide service already has a few toads on the watch list.

I have the LR hunter on one of my guns. The baro pressure/temp difference is pretty minimal at yardages under 500-600 yards. I print out a different chart if I am at lower elevation that tells me my adjustments from my actual turret for over 500 yards. I like the turret, but I do not shoot 600+ to often ( never so far) on animals. If I planned on shooting over 600, I think I would skip the kenton and just use the moa turret on the scope.

Why risk buying a used gun from out of state to save a few hundred $. Just buy a new one, and do the extra stuff as you can afford to. Most new guns from the factory will shoot accurate enough to get to "long" range. If you do buy a gun from out of state, and it turns out to be a dud, you are now stuck with what can turn into a real headache. This can happen when buying a new gun as well, but atleast you have some recourse here. If it were me, I would only buy a "long range ready" gun used, if I could shoot it first to verify it's accuracy. Lots of guys that sell rifles on here are more than willing to meet at the range to make sure both parties are happy with the sale/purchase.
