Just got off the phone...no it does not have a zero stop. It has locking turrets that physically lock at each increment. So looks like Nightforce is my choice.

I'm not sure, good question, will check on that. Could be a deciding factor.

Vowell- in deed I am going to buy a scope its down to nightforce NXS 8-32x56 or the sightron SV 10-50x60, will def. report back in the next month Ernesto C- thanks for your reply GreyGhost85- Is their ever too much magnification? Can always dial it down...at least to 10 power ha-ha. I currently have a vortex viper hst 5-20x50 and it does the job, however at 700+ yds I feel the need for more magnification. If I can see the hair fibers on the shoulder of a coues buck at 700+ yds...I know I am aiming in the right spot

One question...what hand is it? "Right/Left handed rh draw length" jumble has me mixed up.

Don't give up, keep in the field as much as you can. My first shot on a Coues buck has kept my going for 10 yrs now.

DesertBull, I had an episode with target panic. It can be very defeating feeling. Also tried a few of the common tactics. After all that was attempted the one thing teemed to help was a combination of changes in my bow. First I backed my poundage off, then adjusted my draw 1/2" shorter...Then nearly everyday I would shoot a dozen arrows at a distance of 2 yds in my garage. Point blank, no concern for where I was aiming. Just hit the target. Focusing on the technique of holding the bow and releasing an arrow. Eventually my feeling of panic was diminishing. To be quit honest I was getting bored with it ha-ha. Anyhow it seemed to break whatever habit that I developed. Looking back I felt it was the draw poundage that I was mentally focusing on instead of aiming, shooting properly. I had shot bows for years and freaked out about not hitting my intended point of impact. After allowing muscle memory to redeveloped and additional strength, conditioning it was solved. Good luck, don't give up!

Have savage short action for build, looking for your personal experience, not regurgitated information off the net.

Could 6.5x284 be done in a SA? It also has my interest. -

Looking for feedback from experienced people whom have used aftermarket vertical grip tacticle rifle stocks. Such as manners, h&s precision, McMillan etc... Will be using on a savage long action. Thanks in advance.
