Clay, That is awesome, good for you man. I think I'm starting to get a new goal.... Coues' with a bow. Most excellent, --Bill

I tell you what, as far as an AK hunt goes the Blacktail hunts are unbelievably reasonable. --Bill

Thanks guys, I remember when I used to think that 30 was old... Never gave 40 a thought... but 41!!!! shouldn't I start getting some sort of discount? Guaranteed late season tag in 36B????? --Bill

Here are my two Sitka Blacktails, everyone here is probably sick of seeing them so I'm glad other folks have some pics to post. I will never get tired of looking at pictures of Sitkas, and the country they live in, just like the connection between Coues' and their amazing home. Unfortunately, they only fox I saw were common reds, no silver or cross. Also, the G&F would have frowned on us helping ourselves to the bears. More Pictures...... --Bill

Nice pictures, I like hunting the "little deer" (Sitkas, and Coues') --Bill

Yes sir, that is a Sitka Blacktail taken on Afognak Island, Alaska a few years ago. I'll be back up there this fall, with my bow this time! ;-) More pictures of it here, http://gallery.aaaextreme.com/v/hunting/alaska03/ Congrats on the Bull. I have to admit, I like the Sitka better. I went up to Kodiak in November of '07 and had a blast. --Bill

In 2007 on Kodiak Island I watched a buck mount a doe... Then he died. --Bill -

Last year in 36B I watched 3 guys roll rocks off a canyon wall for about an hour. When it got dark they had a heck of a time turning their UTV's (yes they each had one) around to leave. I just figured it was something normal for southern AZ. We were about 6 or 7 hundred yards away could hear the rocks crashing, didn't really seem to bother the deer. --Bill -
It's all good fun... --Bill

Thanks for posting that, I knew there had to be a consolation contest somewhere. --Bill

Absolutely, without a problem. --Bill

I bet if you brought this up at "MonsterMuleys" they'd be all for it. How about an elk contest or a big bear contest??? Could call it "The Other Big-Game Contest" --Bill

Tommy, I know a few folks that would have loved to find them for that price last year. This years economy, not so much. --Bill

I've had this for about 7 years and kept it as an emergency backup. Tired of it just taking up space, $150.00 shipped, comes with original box and case. http://www.opticsgiant.com/buslasranyar4.html --Bill

Amanda, I love the height of that buck, if I ever get the chance to be picky I'd love a high rack buck. Doug, Very nice buck. You consistently share current events with us and I look forward to it. I really enjoyed that story from the past, thanks. --Bill

I only have one so I don't know if I can count it as my "personal best", or just "my only one". One thing I do know is that I'm pretty happy with him. --Bill

My sister's, husband's, friend's, grandmother, knows a guy that got this picture. Seems that the Government is training large cats to work with Special Ops to hunt down terrorists. --Bill

I think the Swaro 15's are 8 1/2" x 5", and they fit the large. I bet you would need the large. --Bill
