Looks like brownells has a good selection of powders available as well
-
I was in that area once. EXTREMELY thick,if I remember correctly it wasn’t even close to glassable
-
That is ridiculous…. Not worth it I’ll just shoot 777 instead if prices don’t come down to something even halfway reasonable! Luckily, I bought a couple bottles about a year ago, should last me a while. I paid $50/10 oz and didn’t feel great about it haha

I have the opportunity to harvest 4 Coues deer this year
dustin25 replied to DonkeyMan's topic in The Campfire
Your New Mexico hunt will definitely be the most challenging, unless you know that unit, or hire a guide. I shot 2 one year and I felt like I hit the lottery…. 4 is awesome! that buck is an absolute stud by the way, love the angular tines -
In tucson? I can help ya

Its Time To Change the Arizona Bonus Point System
dustin25 replied to geoffsl's topic in The Campfire
I’m not sure why I’m arguing with you…. That paragraph above is true, AFTER the top 20% has been given the GUARANTEED tags in the bonus pass. THEN you get a number for each bonus point, which each give you an additional “lottery ticket” for a chance to get drawn in what is called the 1/2 pass ( first and second choice). If still unsuccessful, the same process is used for choices 3/4/5 ONLY IF there were any tags left after the bonus pass and 1/2 pass. just stop arguing, we are trying to teach you how the draw works -

Its Time To Change the Arizona Bonus Point System
dustin25 replied to geoffsl's topic in The Campfire
The 20% of people who have waited the longest (and have the most points) go into the bonus point pass. Unless there are too many people in the lowest point level of the bonus pass, you get a guaranteed tag. How is that not what you’re talking about? unless you’re saying that someone with less bonus points can never draw a tag before someone with more points? That’s a terrible idea, unless you really only want those few prime tags in a lifetime. Drawing tags would be a nightmare. People would stop putting in for those prime tags that they know they have zero chance at, and all but the worst tags would take a ton of points to draw anyway. I think it’d backfire big time, and it wouldn’t result in more prime tags over time like you think it would, it’d just get rid of any hope to draw in the meantime. and this is coming from one of the unluckiest Arizona big game lottery contestants in the pool… -
Its Time To Change the Arizona Bonus Point System
dustin25 replied to geoffsl's topic in The Campfire
Dude no… I think you should probably research how the draw works again in regards to who/how the bonus pass works , and how the 10% non res part works. 10% do not automatically go to non res, it’s a cap not an allocation . And the bonus pass is exactly people who have most points getting tags- 215 replies

Both. Seeing a whole bunch in the neighborhood, and also seem to be everywhere out in the desert areas I’ve been in. I understand the rain patterns should indicate a pretty down year, but I’ve been seeing a lot this year for whatever reason
-
I’ve never seen as many quail around as I have this year…. I’m thinking it’s gonna be a great year

I have 50 plus boxes of various .22 cal bullets for sale. Several different brands and grains. I’d rather sell all together for a good deal, but let me know if you’re looking for anything specific. Best offer today gets them if you want them all. In tucson

Then they should’ve gathered the info through mandatory reporting for a couple years, then made changes
-
And that’s not to bash azgfd. I’m a supporter. But There is no real data collected, so it’s literally impossible for them to come up with real harvest data. That’s why this whole archery deer change is so frustrating, if it was backed by data, id be all for it.But it’s not, because there is no data. For example,I saw something that’s said success rates on archery coues in southern Arizona was as high as 20%. There’s no way, for one. For two, there’s no mandatory reporting so it would be impossible to know.

Sandhill crane questions
dustin25 replied to Presmyk's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I’ve never used a guide, but Ive heard it runs about $300/hunter/morning. I sat and watched a guide with clients for a couple hours last year after we tagged out, and they definitely knew what they were doing…but isn’t learning how to hunt animals most of the fun and reward anyways? We’ve enjoyed figuring it out on our own, with some definite failures along the way… as for draw odds, I have no idea and I don’t think I’ve ever seen any numbers on it. Certainly not a guaranteed tag though -
