Differently Shadow Valley. They have been slaying it up there the last few years.

Great job. Unfortunate that deer have to put themselves in the position of getting trapped or stuck due to the drought. It’s bad out here right now. Tanks, springs and seeps I’ve never seen dry are. Come on monsoons we need ya.

Wish they had a store down in Tucson area. To far to drive on a chance they might have it.

Good to know. Maybe he’ll let me purchase to fit check with option to return. Thanks again

Good info. Thank you. How about broad fitting packsaddles you mentioned earlier. The two beasts I have are built completely different. Going to check out a used sawbuck tomorrow. What can I look for?

I’ll high jack this one. Just getting into packing myself. Picked up two great mules from an old outfitter back in November. Kids and I have been riding them, I’ve gone out solo and ponyed the other. No issues. I have never packed in my life sooo My question is decker or sawbuck and why. Next is pannier. Utah style, soft, box, aluminum, hard, and do I need a top pack,(was thinking that’s where backpacks will strap down at)? This should be a fun and exciting yr with them. Bonus my son drew a late 23 bull tag so figured in this the perfect pack out unit. Thanks for any advice

Bundle of 3/4”’plywood? Sight unseen. Just how it’s not black, but the offer will stand. -
That’s a great offer. If they had H1000 I would have bought u a steak dinner at silver saddle.

Won’t help me , probably just makes it harder to get powder and primers. But what do I know.

DELW I hope you never get old and ur mind stays young. I’ve shot a handful of crossbows, mainly trying to find one for my dad to use. They’re not all that’s cracked up to be. Maybe if you spent $3000 but the average crossbow under 2k, I can out shoot all day long with my bow and I’m no expert archer. Should my 78 yr old dad who has only hunted sep elk since 1980’s put in for the dec bull hunt because he physically can’t pull a bow back??? FYI old guys don’t like the cold. They can’t run up hills and chase elk, they can’t hike and blood doesn’t seem to travel to their hands or feet. Sitting is not an option in December. Maybe I should just road hunt with him in the heated truck and tell him that’s all he gets and to be happy he can still hunt. Or should the old guys just stop hunting? I’ve talk with him a lot about hunting, “ your mind still says you can do all what you use too but the body says no”. I don’t think him sitting a blind that I have to drive him to with his $700 crossbow that only shots 60yrds is to much of a inconvenient to the other healthy hunters that have years to continue hunting. What he misses up your draw odds? Cry me a river his earned the GD right

I can see how some/ many abuse the crossbow permit. But that’s with every rule, law, regulations anywhere and everywhere. Last yr my 78 yr old father that has had both shoulders operated on, had a truck crush him three yes ago and is on oxygen, was able to kill a (maybe his last) bull thanks to G&F giving him a x-bow permit. A memory myself and my 13 yr old son,who where in the blind with him will never forget.

Post is over a year old. -
Agreed. Pour word choice. “Took down”

Yes and no. No in the fact that if the guide did know where the wounded buck was and did not offer the information to the shooter to try and finish the buck off(in the same day),that is wrong in my opinion. The fact that the client killed three days later and it was not a fatal 1st shot then yes, the client and guide should be proud for finishing the wounded buck off.

amazing to me that out of all the hunters on this site, no one would have helped the first hunter with the “booner” buck. Instead watch the buck through glass, make a plan for the next day while the hunter is walking around blood trailing. Really Pathetic at best. Go ahead and justify on here that it’s just how it is, He made a bad shot, BS. I know many of people that would have tried to help the first hunter out. Then if it didn’t work out for him, try and kill the buck the next day, but not brag about how good they are. And really such a great hunt and hunter and guide because they finished off a BIG buck after it laid up all night, got stiff and didn’t want to move the next day. Way to finish him off guys. I’m impressed what 3k-5k can but these days.

Nothing. Big difference from last year to this year

Next we will see odds of max point holders getting the COVID. Then survival odds. —HEY don’t judge, you know you were thinking it.

Won’t give you $300 for a viper but the razors a great glass at this price. A little research helps when trying to compare optics.
