As most of you have seen there are a number of successful bear hunting techniques. Find a method that works for you and hunt hard. I'm a glasser at heart, but over the past couple of years I've added calling to my list of tricks. To be honest, I hate calling! I only use the technique, because it works! I love bear hunting and I'm willing to try all techniques to get a bear. That's why I've added calling. I don't call at every spot or every day, but if the spot has the right set up I will usually call after I'm done glassing. Bear hunting can be a lot of fun, but it can also be very very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for getting this put together Nick. After reading his web site I read they do not do spot & stock. It said all hunts are done by driving the pigs out. Some hunters will push while others will sit and wait. If this is the case I will pass. I suck at shooting on the run:) Adam

I would be interested in the February dates as well. What is the success rate?

The spawn is usually the last couple weeks in Oct- 1st couple weeks in Novemeber. it's usually right before the creeks and lakes ice up. I've had unbelievable spawn/fishing a day or two before ice over. The spawn in each lake or creek is usually different. If you spend enough time looking & scouting you can usually hit the spawn in several lakes and creeks. This is the best time of the year to be fishing the White Mountains. Awesome fishing!

Dave, I would love to help, but I'm not very familiar with 23. I would hate to see a kid not get a Deer, because I don't know the area. If you will have kids with 22 tags I would be happy to help.

Great idea, but not a new one. I know several people who do this every year. Some very famous hunters also do this every year. I hope you find the right person and kill some monsters. Adam

Ya it sucks they closed down. They did a FANTASTIC job and they were very nice people. We had to take our Elk last Novemeber to Forest Lakes. We called Ron, but he said he was full at the time.

Just wondering if anyone with the early archery 22 hunt would be interested in sharing a little info on Bull movement. I'm helping a friend from Colorado who has the 22 south Muzzy hunt in 2 weeks. I've located a few good Bulls, but I would really like to find a few more. If anyone is willing to share what they have seen I would greately appreciate it. If not I completely understand. Thanks for all the info guys. We did some serious scouting this past weekend. We did find several nice Bulls, but nothing over 320. Still hoping to find a 330+ Bull for my buddy. I'm back at work, but my buddy is scouting all week. If anyone has eyes on a big boy and doesn't have anyone to help on the upcoming muzzy hunt we would love the assistance. I really want to find my buddy a nice Bull. Thanks, Adam
