How far is the rangefinder really good to. Can you range 1000 yards on a regular basis or is it only a 6-800 type rangefinder?

I'm planning on coming down this weekend for some scouting. I'm hoping to find some glassing spots to start with on opening morning. I'm really looking forward to the hunt, but not looking forward to hunting alone! Not because I'm scared. I just like sharing the hunt with people. My 2 Son's have recently killed thier fist Squirrel's. I would like to have them mounted as a christmas present for them. Does anyone have any Taxidermist they would recommend for Squirrel's? Thanks! Adam

Thank you very much for the update as I was unaware. To be clear. If I kill a Deer or Elk in Wyoming I can put the Hide & Meat in a cooler and bring it directly to my Taxidermist and processor! Is that correct? Adam

I know it's a bagged hunt, but it looks like a fun place to take my kids for their first big game hunt. The price isn't to bad for a weekend get away. Try the river between Horseshoe Lake and Bartlet lake. You can also try pond jumping. Find an are that has some ponds and stalk up to them. You can usually get a few shots at Duck's that way. To be honest the Duck hunting doesn't get "GOOD" (if you can call it that) until Late December & January! Adam

When I had this tag last year I glassed up 30-40 rag's a day. It was nice to see a lot of Bulls, but also very frustrating! I held out until the last day hoping to find a nice 6x6. I ended up taking a small rag at 2pm on the last day. My freezer was getting low:) It was a very frustrating hunt! I'm not saying there aren't any good Bulls. There are some Huge Bulls in 22s, but with the added tag numbers the number of good Bulls is going to be drasticly diminished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adam

60 tags is 40 tags too many! 22S is going to be just like 22N in a few years. 22S will never be the same after this year. They added or doubled every hunt in 22S. Oh well, another unit becomes just a money maker!!!!!!!!!!!! Adam
