IS IT VORTEX OROTHER SCOPE BRANDS AS WELL
Titanium700 replied to murfys69law's topic in Long Range Shooting
I use Leupolds, what I usually do is rotate the turret a few clicks (maybe 1-2?) past my desired MOA and and return to it. Hope that makes sense. -
Nice Little 3x3 Buck I Shot - 500+ yards
Titanium700 replied to trphyhntr's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
That's how I love to eat my tenderloin and backstraps, with baked sweet potatoes I grow in my back yard. Only I include grilled asparagus. Oh my I'm going out tomorrow to kill a deer and have some fresh...thanks. -
That's one thing I like about my cams, they require a passcode to use them. Not to mention mine are locked in a lockbox too.

Yes it works awesome.

Love the back country in Colorado.

Primers for bh 209?
Titanium700 replied to Green Bullet's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
I'm using the CCI non magnum 209's and they fire just fine with bh209 -
I like Larks idea.

Just an FYI, you can use the standard CDS dial the same as a m1 turret if your so inclined. Just count the clicks.
-
Oh man!!!

On the edge of my seat.

Or his disco lessons...... Lol just kidding. But seriously listen to him. He's in the know.
-
That's the way it should be otherwise we are only getting 5%. Would not be fair and I bet lawsuits would ensume.
-
I use whatever I have available though mostly bipods.

First (or Front) Focal Plane Crosshairs change size in relation to target. Second Focal plane does not.

Kenton offers the turrets that are both range specific with yardage marks and regular hash marks so you can count clicks.

Need help with November muzzleloader unit 33. PLEASE
Titanium700 replied to Bowmadness's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Yeah. I'd stick on the north side for sure but have seen many monsters on the south side, but that's usually December/January. If you want a coues go up high, a Muley go down low. -

Is it an any antlered or species specific? -
Good luck. The most activity we found was right on the New Mexico border. Actually that big bull was 400 or so yds from the main road.

Man it's tough. Fair amount of sign but no sightings yet. Trying to get my son a cow. Any ideas where they are at?
-
Thought I'd give an update. My son was not able to fill his cow tag but it wasn't for a lack of trying. With pointers/tips from many members and locals we were able to locate some elk but unfortunately they were all bulls. And one really nice 320-330 6x6, if he had a bull tag that would have been one really dead bull. I want to thank all those who gave pointers/tips by this thread or pm's. Thanks guys. It's been a fun experience for both him and I. Now to draw another tag.

Out of eager take the road toward big lake get off forest road 261f Go before daybreak and listen for the bugles, camped there and they screamed every morning like crazy till about 8:30-9 then got quiet.

Run a 6.5/06 AI and then use a Leupold Mark 4 3.5x10, they have M1 turrets and is in your scope budget price. Oh yeah, make sure your barrel is an 8 twist.

I kinda think the rain and warm weather is hurting us but were charging ahead. We'll get one. Thanks all for the help.

Thank you. I don't have a tag my 12 yr old son does and it's his first hunt. I believe he'll get one but we might have to work for it. Thanks all. Hope you guys don't think I'm E-scouting I just want my boy to experience an elk kill.
